I want to make candles for my books now. Sourcing natural fragrances is probably a challenge, eh?

I hate when I talk to myself and the voice attendant on my phone responds. Like, I never said the wake word. I seriously don't need your humorous commentary on my lamenting on how I could only eat two out of three of my tacos for lunch.

This was tough. Had to leave out Bury Your Gays by Chuck Tingle and Kushiel's Dart by Jaqueline Carey because I couldn't find an 11-book meme generator.

I was tempted to pirate HP, curiosity and all that. But @jessiegender.bsky.social is right - think of the amount of times HBO commented on GOT leaks and downloads, just as an example. They DO track these things, and even that drives interest. Let this show die. Trans people deserve better.

I was forced to go to a mall today... it's ok. I'm all right. The things you have to endure to get your annual pumpkin cupcake foaming soap from B&BW. 😭

I am going to post a few days this week with different docs about the psychology of horror and why we love it. Let me know what you think! Have you seen this one? Have any to suggest? #Horror

Find me at these 7 amazing shops or support your fave indie bookstore by ordering online at bookshop.org. Just added The Infernal Annex in Olympia, Washington's only all-horror bookstore. Ebooks are also available for both of my titles via the usual online haunts. #IndieHorror #IndieAuthor #BookSky

Scary good news: Olympia’s horror bookshop is coming along nicely. Downtown is about to get spooky.

I'm thrilled to share that Snowman made the Honorable Mention list for genre fiction at this year's Hollywood Book Festival. These are awarded to books that in addition to storytelling, have good potential for being adapted into other forms of media.

Fellow authors: without any context, what's the first line of your current WIP? "Fuck," I muttered, staring at the DMV entrance. Before getting out of my EV, I watched the crowd for movement. 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦. 𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. Instead, they just stood motionless, baking in the afternoon sun. #ReaderSky #IndieHorror

Like none of those Greek Isles looked like Mykonos. So when I was visiting Mykonos for a few hours and thinking this was the place that maybe Odysseus encountered the Cyclops I GUESS I WAS WRONG. Historically speaking.

Walsh here. It is Christmas in July, didn't you know? Come celebrate at @bundokbooks.bsky.social this Saturday and see if your xmess sweater is uglier than mine. Dare you. I'm at the Haunted Farmers Market on Sunday all day. Details below in the busiest graphic promo I've ever made if you please.
