we got to see some beautiful fall colors on the bike parade too

Had so much fun riding with @christin-with-mpls.bsky.social, @beccaforschools.bsky.social, and @shannon-for-d3.bsky.social today! 📷 Aaron Kennell

Nightmare As bike lanes are being ripped out and politicians are ramping up anti bike rhetoric, last night someone drove their car into a Halloween group ride and killed two people RIP to the two who were murdered

Ride the bike Row the boat Sucks to suck in Iowa 🖕😛🖕

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Joe Mitchell: "Thank God you're building the ballroom. Thank God you're getting rid of those awful bike lanes. We don't ride bicycles in Iowa."

Same people behind the anti klobouchar “from the left” mailers we keep getting. Scummy scummy stuff. Would love to live in a society where this behavior is stopped and punished swiftly. The fines for this should be astronomical. www.startribune.com/anonymous-gr...

startribune.comAnonymous group targeting Klobuchar has ties to a wider network of dark moneyAn Ohio attorney has formed groups in several states that distributed political donations that can’t be tracked. Minnesota Democrats filed a complaint calling for the group’s disclosure.

Neither has Kimberly Land, a Columbus, Ohio, lawyer listed on incorporation papers. After weeks of heavy spending, no 1 has proved who's providing the cash. apnews.com/article/burt...

57 views when you have four hundred and sixty three thousand followers is nasty numbers What a fucking loser

Thanks to the @bikebusworld.bsky.social and safe routes to school friends who left gifts for the bike bus kids! I love when Minneapolis hosts these transportation conferences and we get to see outsiders in awe of our bike network. We get to live like this!

I watched a biker get doored as someone was dropped off into a bike lane a couple weeks ago. Waymo admitting here it does not care to solve the problems that exist with other ride sharing companies.

taylr@taylordahlin.com

waymo representative sent to a city of minneapolis event can’t give a real answer about their vehicles utilizing bike lanes or not when this is a known PR issue for the company and we are one of the top biking cities in the country it’s talk of safety for the people inside the waymo only

You know you can just sit around and enjoy Loring pond and downtown Minneapolis from Loring park sometimes, right? Loring park Minneapolis, MN 10/20/26

I think it’s bogus that the nba is trying to get in on the October mid day sports action. How are soccer fans supposed to sneak out to watch champions league if basketball fans are leaving too now? We’re gonna get caught! Go back to the office!!!

Great day for ye olde Bluesky helmet *does not protect from mind numbing takes

Your replies can’t hurt me, I’m wearing the Bluesky helmet

TWIN CITIES BIKE FRIENDS! 🚲 @subhnanda.bsky.social had their bike stolen, please share! 🧵 “My Aventon Level 3 was stolen along with another bike 2 weeks ago from our locked bike storage room. My bike had a GPS tracker and when I went to that location, it was on the side of I-94 and no bike.

‼️🚨MPLS MISSING BIKE 🚨‼️ If you see this bike throw a lock on it and shoot me an email walkingminnesota@gmail.com (I refuse to turn on social media notifications but will turn them on for email for this beautiful bike)

Hear me out here, a lakeside taqueria with delicious beers, seltzers, and non alcoholic options. If another stupid kiosk service chicken strip window opens up here I am going to cry

“We've had no strategy from the county attorney on how to deal with things like violent crime, organized crime, gun crime, gang crime…..I think there's been an overarching ideological approach to the office that has put results behind rhetoric” -Anders Folk Pot, meet kettle.

Wedge LIVE!™@wedge.live

Every time I hear that police are frequently unable to do their jobs because Mary Moriarty is so abrasive — I pinch myself, I look at the crime stats, and then I salute law enforcement for how much good they've done despite this rude lady (who took office in 2023).

Elizabeth Shaffer quoting George W Bush in her newsletter this week because she is mad about the councils decision on data center regulations

Alt regulations to requiring a human: 1. Require local ownership of avs operating here to prevent funds from being funneled to big tech 2. Regulate the size of the fleet permitted due to traffic concerns 3. Enhanced enforcement of traffic violations w/increased fines 4. AV ride taxes

These bastards are going to do everything they can to find a way in. We need to make sure as much money as possible stays local. If they aren’t willing to invest in our economy they can kick rocks We don’t need them. If they want to be here they need to show their value beyond the tech itself

Is evie going to sell off their fleet? Are we going to feel the same sting when we see those cars driving around?

la flaneuse 😷@laflaneuse.bsky.social

We lost Nice Ride three years ago bc of a funding gap and still have to look at these photos downtown. Little daggers in my heart each time. Still no good replacement for it yet.

Riley makes money by creating attention-seeking spectacle. She *wants* you to come protest for the cameras. Skip it. Go doorknock for a pro-equality candidate and then join me tomorrow at A Bar of Their own to support trans kids.

5 Eyewitness News@kstptv.bsky.social

Riley Gaines, a former collegiate swimmer and conservative activist, will be speaking at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday night and 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS is hearing that protests are planned.

She is kinda cooking with these demands for data centers If you’re a sicko and want to see her whole 10m interview, check it out here: youtu.be/ZBJi10K0nR0 she goes on about 33 min in This is an 80% Trump county fyi

Hunter Dunn@hunterisntdunn.bsky.social

Trust me: whatever you’re doing right now is less important than watching this candidate interview. No spoilers, just trust:

Apparently one of my kid’s classmates saw an ai poster on wall at school and made a petition for it to be removed And they took it down! The kids are alright

GREAT NEWS! ‘After nearly a month of widespread outcry toward plans to close some schools, Minneapolis Public Schools Superintendent Lisa Sayles-Adams announced Tuesday the district won’t move forward with any school closures “at this time.”’ Gift link 🎁

startribune.comMinneapolis leaders decide not to move forward with controversial school closuresThe school board was slated to vote Nov. 10 on redrawing attendance boundaries and closing up to 16 schools. But the plan met fierce opposition from parents and teachers.
Jonathan Stegall@jonathanstegall.bsky.social

MPS superintendent changed her recommendation to not take any closure steps this year. I did not see that coming. Almost an unprecedented level of listening to community really.

The baboon butts will save us all I spent way too long trying to be above the Lycra/sport cyclist crowd. If you like riding for extended periods of time, get the baboon butt shorts. Anyone who makes you feel unwelcome for it can get outta my bike lane

I just need someone else to see this description of a pair of cycling shorts because I am dying over here

I appreciate this homeowner. Last year they had a wall of shrubs hiding their home and decorations. I wanted to look but felt weird looking through shrubs. This summer they took down the shrubs and now we can see their displays!! And their Flanagan and Frazier signs (last year they had Fateh)

I was on the literal last ride of the season so save this recommendation for next year: the Minneapolis Water Taxi boat tour is a delight.

What’s it like living in Minneapolis? It was 90° yesterday but the water fountains at the beach are closed for the season because it could freeze any night this time of year. Impossible work for mprb staff
