is living in the past really the solution to all your problems? is reliving a 2007 day every day of the year going to cure your depression? to stay in a bubble of time due to trauma/nostalgia and never moving on from there while everyone else is out there is living their lives despite it all?
I know this ad was (probably) done with good intentions but still, it icks me, considering modern firefox is far from being "the old web" as the video claims.
the old web is what you make of it, it is the way you use and interact with the internet, the way you speak, your habits, your interests +
the way you draw, the way your things are themed, the way you push your systems limits for personalization and identity.
to bring back "the old web" there is no need for a shiny bright product, it requires collective effort.

the wording is scary, manipulative and guilt trippy, its the exact thing I talked about in my thread.
this new wave of nostalgic manipulation by lonely losers who hate moving on and corporations is really putting me off.
hot take: Im not liking how isolation is being encouraged as a form of self help, people are forcing you to stay in your own little bubble and there's 100 reasons why that's dangerous as fuck
listen, I love old tech, I love things from the 2010's I grew up there, the problem comes when people weaponize nostalgia and turn a what is basically an emotion like any other into a deadly poison that eats away what's left of your mental psyque, removing everything and going cold turkey is +
going to harm you more than this current toxic environment we're living in, sure you may have a moment of bliss but escapism alone isn't going to cut it.

I learned this the hard way, a lot of my friends who tried these "methods" came out a lot worse than when they started to "detox" themselves, it just a depressing life, playing the same games over and over, eating the same food, watching the same shows, people like to relive the past but +

"this is the only thing you'll need" "buy this old tech product and never look back" "throw out your phone, remove all contact and leave" these might look like "revel" things but on a physiological level these "habits" will mess with your brain and could probably put in you danger.
im out here writing a hypothetical "round 2" where after an successful abyss route the player (hand) opens a vanilla fire red rom, but somehow it remembers.
NPC's start having deja-vus, some straight up avoid you, a certian trainer linked to a certian egg is missing from the picture.
I just want my they (Miguel, the super nerd) to have a fighting chance so im going to my undertale roots and doing fuckall and re-creating disbelief papyrus from the ground up lol
strange in-universe sona lore, my sona's parents are a stock cartoon image of a person and a slime (humanoid) the stock image is the dad and the slime is the mom. despite him looking a lot his like his dad, he is still part slime +
regardless of sex, if my sona were to be female she would be a slimegirl with human-like qualities the same way the male ver. of this sona would resemble a stock image with slime-like/monster qualities.

his skin is strechy and rubbery and there's a lot of strange things and biological processes his organs undergo everyday.
the way genetics work in this world is that if the child is born female it will look like the mom, if the child is male it will look like the dad, but they each get traits +

Strange Facts are Happening to Me: In a particular Looney Tunes cartoon, Daffy Duck is noticeably smaller than average. This is because they were apprehensive on Feeding him, for the Level 20 Star Particles would be too distracting for the viewer. #mysingingmonsters#monstroustoonz
