The only reason people using LLMs to make video games are so up in arms about labels, is because if they have to label it, they can't lie about their skills. It bears repeating: You wouldn't call yourself a runner if you took the car. So don't call yourself a dev if you used an LLM.

I hate how the existence of LLMs makes me feel about myself I spent SO MUCH TIME learning how to be good at programming now I can just buy that for a cool 100€/month literally half of my skillset is just replaceable

And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying vibe coding is good now. Application design and so on are still important and you can't replace experience. It's more that you only need to get about 60% of the way there to make a good program now. So all the implementation skills I have feel super worthless

Liking video games has become like, THE worst, most exhausting hobby of my life. I am so over having to run a full background check on a studio to make sure the game that looks exciting wasn't made using AI. Can this shit be over already? I'm genuinely running out of capacity to care.

Something that people who generate images with AI don't seem to understand, is that the problem was never the quality of the image. AI generated images are bad because they are soulless randomly weighted averages. A high resolution caricature of art. You can't make a machine fake having a soul.

The "personality" of Claude is also giving: "Asshole doing their best to cosplay a service worker." The apology language it uses when you point out a mistake is so extreme, it feels completely performative. It also keeps going "this is the most honest thing" or something like that.

In their effort to making their product more "likable" Anthropic has created the most annoying yes-man of all time. And they created an epidemic of people who think that Claude makes them experts, when their lack of ability to check makes the output polished turd in gold paint.

Claude consistently makes things up instead of checking documentation or trying to find accurate data online. This is extremely pronounced especially on larger models. Opus 4.7 is by far the worst offender of this. It constantly creates code that doesn't run or gives me guesses as answers.

Claude Code's personality, which is set by the now 100% vibe-coded system prompt is awful. They are clearly aiming for "nice, helpful and assistant like coding companion" but it's not. It's extremely patronizing. If you criticize it, it usually freezes up and acts like a deer in headlights.

Who said that AI is the future and is actually good now? The more I am forced to work with Claude the more I hate this technology. This thing is fighting me CONSTANTLY. It keeps making me repeat myself, forgetting things I said 3 minutes ago. It only produces garbage, and acts like I'm stupid

What's even worse is that if you tell it it made a mistake, it tries to correct on it's own. The human in the loop promise goes out the window. It's also incapable of working from a reference project to the point of making me want to pull my feathers out.

Can we go back to the fucking drawing board on this tech? Come back in like 15 years when you figured out how to make this in a way that doesn't suck and make everyone's life miserable. Being forced to use AI at work is literally making me work slower, not faster.

Fuck AI Seriously I didn't loose my employment to it, but I for sure lost my "job". My days are spent telling the exec suite mandated lie machine what to do. All the exciting tasks get given to it instead of me now, and I'm stuck asking it to reformat ansible playbooks. Fuck this shit
