Speculating that pngwn is cooking up something cool for Svelte Summit. i'm excited. i know mdsvex v1 will be good. But ngl i am a bit scared looking at what looks like a loot of tooling and complexity to maintain...

Loosely related: some remark plugins to consider, especially if you share code often: bsky.app/profile/did:...

Writing markdown can sometimes be tedious. Over the years i've written some remark plugins to help better focus on writing and less on maintenance. Together with SvelteKit, I can finally sleep at night knowing my markdown will be okay. vnphanquang.com/blog/remark-... #markdown #unified #remark

As raining season approaches where I am at. I wonder, this year, what flash floods will bring along their paths, what power plants will be built. When will it be my turn to go?

I used to think everyone should just get onboard with English, because everything is in EN; it'd make things easier in the long term anyway. But now, I have known better. I18N isn't about being fixated in one's own language, it's about accessibility.

I'm honestly surprised by the fact that no VI translation was proposed yet, while ~30 langs are now available. Considering Vietnam is one of the popular destination for offshore software development, this may say something about how little open source is talked about here. npmx.dev/translation-...

Hibernated from social media (including bluesky) for a few months. Highly recommended. My mental health has been much better Back now but barely. And hoping to keep it that way.

I wonder what had been wrong with us until we needed "cognitive amplifier". I personally have always been in awe with human and our ability to make art / do science. You use SlopAI all you want. All I am asking is leave place in the world for those who don't want to. Please and thank you.

Culture Crave 🍿@culturecrave.co

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says people should move beyond calling AI 'slop' "We need to get beyond the arguments of slop vs sophistication and develop a new equilibrium ... that accounts for humans being equipped with these new cognitive amplifier tools as we relate to each other"

Tried Coolify on homeserver today, reminisced about DevOps and DNS settings and such, got too tired and uninstalled everything... Gonna be just docker-composing for now. Should I look into self hosting a docker registry?

Please think twice before prompting! Right this moment, my hometown is experiencing historical extreme flooding. Hydroplants are still releasing water at record level. Meanwhile, billion of dollars of AI data center investments is coming in waves, demanding more and more energy. Your actions matter!

Reasons I refuse to use L_L_M: is not deterministic (enough), often includes closed source data & biases, steals creative work from independent creators, is energy hungry and likely to cause energy crisis, esp. in the global south. Am I wrong? And If I become obsolete in this industry, so be it!

Am I making an insignificant correlation? I don't know. Do I think energy management takes an active role in instances like this, yes. Do I think it will get worse if we need to build more energy plants, regardless of being hydropower, fossil fuel, geothermal, etc? 100%.

Being able to work with and for the web is so lucky and amazing. But sometimes i seriously doubt that i'm creating any actual value in this f*king industry. The illusion that technology is "the" solution has been internalised in me and that is very, very scary. Building up regrets every day...

When I was taught about colonialism and imperialism in school, I thought those were ancient relics. But oh no have I learned that they're happening today, right now. And i feel like technology is the number 1 vehicle that accelerates these ideologies. "No don't be political" I hear. Fuck that!

Had to boot into windows today for dev, and darn I feel lucky to daily drive Linux. There's just some weird stuff here and there. And this is already with GlazeWM, neovim, and a lot of familiar toolings that I installed a while back...

My latest experimentation in Svelte & SvelteKit was to revisit the i18n problem space, this time with remote function. Hoping this can add to the conversation... All eyes on a stable release of async and remote function. And maybe i18n out of the box soon🀞 www.sveltevietnam.dev/en/blog/2025...

sveltevietnam.devInternationalisation with Remote Function β€” A Proof of ConceptComposable and minimal i18n solution in Svelte land, built on remote function and vite plugin

May very well be confirmation bias, but every time I come across something with r_e_a_c_t mentioned there'd sure be people debating and arguing with each other over weird things. Larger crowd, more probability that'd happen perhaps?
