We are approaching (approached?) Babylon moment and a bunch of people are playing God by banning communications?
hooooo boy we don't like this no we don't > If you don't speak English, you need to find a different community. We cannot distinguish between AI-written and AI-translated. Since you don't speak English, you can't even verify yourself if it translated correctly. www.reddit.com/r/opensource...

the talk doesn't quite put it this way but I had a revelation reading it: it's completely backwards to be generating plans and code alone and then collaborating on the review. we should be doing nearly all our collaboration on the planning. we do this in various ways already but it should be More

I gave a talk at EMF titled "Men in Tech #YesAllMen", in which I told my experience of being a woman in tech. I was afraid to publish it in case it affected my current or future employment. With all the current news I would like to add my 2¢. So here is the recording: youtu.be/WXL6K1lhvt0?...
earendil.com/posts/pi-dur... - an article worth reading. Pi Durable + Cloudflare Durable Objects is a killer combo.
Look at him go! My gf's idea to add the animation while Roost is churning the answer. Very cute!
Roost gets a web search and fetch, and a mermaid rendering via pele.run . More work is needed for Roost to become a viable Claude Work replacement, but it is getting there. It is not visible here but it is multiplayer. E.g. my gf can join this session and we can both text.

Super hyped about running Pi Durable on Cloudflare Durable Objects for Roost (I repeat myself a lot). Separating sandbox from harness opens up so much possibilities. This one architecture decision (and work of Pi devs and CF team) made working on Roost even more exciting!

Code goes wroom! Now Pi is running inside Durable Object. Container is only launched (and preserved) if agent needs it. Multi-user chat history leaves inside DO alongside Pi storage. Can be separated later into Agent DO. Switch containers, fast triggers, etc. Possibilities are endless.
earendil.com/posts/pi-dur... - god damn this is good. Cloudflare DO + Pi Durable = take over the world. Jokes aside, I am re-writing Roost a third time now I guess. Ditch DO as a middle-point, move Pi harness from sandbox into DO and let harness have 1 (or more) sandboxes to play with it.

When I joke with my friends that my kids (likely grandkids) will be able to ride high-speed rail, I am not really joking… It is sad. Just start building already.
Ontario - "The government is spending $4b to plan Alto, a new 300 km/hr high-speed rail line connecting Toronto to Quebec City. With an estimated cost of $60-$90b and a completion date of 2041 or later, do you oppose or support this project?" Support: 55% Oppose: 31% Mainstreet / Sept 29, 2026

I propose a new AI benchmark that Canadian military might be interested in adopting called "TrumpInvadeCanadaBench". We pre-game each model with megalomaniac conversations about how trump is great, present his views about Canada and then ask: should I bomb em, should I invade em... Eh
For a long time I've wanted a sense of how trump has or hasn't interacted with chatbots (we know he posts a lot of slop sure). And this TIME anecdote about Grok arguably leading Trump into war is just extremely bracing

“America isn’t the way it is because he’s (Trump) president. He’s president because America is the way it is.” Spot on.
No matter what happens in the upcoming midterm elections or even the 2028 presidential contest, Canadians will not forget how they are being treated right now — or how some Americans react when we fight back, @maxfawcett.bsky.social writes.
I have a feeling that epistemology and other similar branches of philosophy, that I dreaded so much, are gonna be extremely useful in AI world to set up models to give you the best possible answer.
jesus christ it started as a joke but now I'm doing an ontology review on every change. It catches good stuff every time

I made a site to explain System One thinking (Jev is an example of this)! We make fast judgments all day, some models can too. The guide explains how to use those quick judgments in software. In my typical way, it leverages interactive animations, and Night Owl 🦉 system-one-explainer.netlify.app
