y’all. idk what to read next. nothing looks good, and my tbr feels like a chore, even though I *know* there are titles on there I’ll very much enjoy. what has been your favorite romance you read for the first time this year? #booksky 🌶️📚💙

um so, this book is the first in a while to actually give me some modicum of inspiration for a design project based on the characters. it’s hella slow burn, and there hasn’t even been that much yearning yet. but there’s been some great lines and reluctant tenderness, which I am eating up. 🌶️📚💙

“it terrifies me.” “good. the thing a worth having usually do.”

❝ lighting up his hair like a halo, which was a stupid thing to notice. ❞ ———— ❝ ‘I gave it a year and then gave up.’ like hope was a tool he returned to the store. ❞ 📚💙

this narrator duo is not matched well :/ and idk what it is lately, but my brain has been getting way more angry with any mispronunciation it catches. the one that got me most annoyed was in the first chapter: “celly” (short for celebration) being pronounced as “chelly” instead of “selly”
