PixelFX just dropped a new beta firmware for the Morph4K and it's not just good, it's game changing. Pretty much everything you could ever want in a retro gaming scaler at ANY price point, just came to the Morph4K. There's more than I can fit in a single post so keep reading.

So where does that leave the so called "scaler wars" ? Well, keep in mind this is all still in beta but, no longer do you have to choose between advanced CRT simulation on the RetroTINK 4K, or convenience features of the Morph like over the air updates and GameID, one scaler now does it all.

Once all the bugs are ironed out, the Morph 4K really will seem to be objectively the best 4K scaler on the market now at ANY price point, both in terms of features and value. It's been some time but the team really have delivered on their promises and then some.

eBay users! Don't ignore today's email, even though it looks like a boring standard update to the User Privacy Notice. They want to use your data to train AI models. If you click the link over the words "the right to object", it takes you to a page with a toggle button letting you opt out.

Did you know that 8 in 8 #Reform MPs are owned body and soul by foreign-based Fossial Fuel and foreign-based Crypto Criminal Enterprises? Does this seem right?

I'm taking my "Norway's wealth tax didn't reduce tax revenue" victory lap.

I've spent a lot of time debunking claims that way overstate the migration impacts of wealth taxes. But fear not - if we put our minds to it, I do believe we can design a wealth tax high enough to get Elon to flee the country

Looks like the proposed EU Kids Act is far worse than we even feared it would be. Every online game to require strict age verification, private game servers to be made illegal. Effectively it would spell the end of the "stop killing games" initiative www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQRc...

Today, I decided to dump all my thoughts about A.I. infecting the retro and Saturn scene into one cohesive article. In short, I am certifiably sick of this.

SEGA SATURN, SHIRO!@segasaturnshiro.bsky.social

Is there any harm in using AI to work on — or entirely create — projects for the Sega Saturn and elsewhere in the retro gaming scene? Yes, PandaMonium says in this opinion column, equating such work to digital asbestos: www.segasaturnshiro.com/2026/09/24/c... #sega #saturn #segasaturn #retrogaming

The 15" SGI Monitor is ALIVE!!!! Thanks to "Teletek TV Repair" (Unit 2D Thistle St, Dundee DD3 7RF) for helping power this on slowly so it didn't explode after years in an outside garage. If you've a CRT that needs fixing, they're the very chaps! www.teletektvrepair.com

Either way you have to pay for the tariffs, but if you import yourself you will pay more in handling fees for a small shipment than Stone Age will have to pay for a bulk shipment. It also makes it easier to return the board if something goes wrong. (2/2)

I mean, yeah, of course we realize this which is why so many of us are lamenting the loss of physical media. This is precisely why the 'digital future' kinda sucks. I'd be more forgiving if it weren't basically just renting access. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-sa...

British "democracy" is an empty husk, hollowed out by a grossly unrepresentative voting system and mega-donors who have captured the political class. Now in power, Burnham has scrapped a commitment to electoral reform and is ditching a pledge to cap political donations. 🤔

We just finished packing our Morph 2k pre-order units. If you pre-ordered one and didn't get a tracking number or an explanation about where your unit is, please do reach out. Rather than take pre-orders on the next batch we pre-ordered some more stock from PFX, so hopefully that arrives soon!
