Less than two weeks to go for AdventureX 2026, hands down my favourite games event! I'll be there on Saturday and half of Sunday, who's going to be around? Hyped to meet y'all there, narrative creatures! (And if you somehow haven't heard of it before: @adventurex.bsky.social )

Sitting in this dingy bar, waiting to pick Ari from school and developing a game doc. The industry sucks but fuck me, do I love the feeling of working on games.

Hey, it’s me, your childhood friend from your idyllic hometown in this RPG. Let’s do some tutorial missions together. No, I’m not in any of the official art, but that probably doesn’t mean anything.

Delighted to share that PSYPHON, by @jon.inkle.co, is now available on the eenk stories catalog! "Courier job. Turn up at the hotel, port ready. Several terabytes, but you've cleared the space. Will get your mind back once it's done. Nothing's going to go wrong." 👇 t0mg.github.io/eenk/stories...

Can't get enough interactive fiction, even with the 32nd annual IFComp opening today? It's the final week of voting for IntroComp! Don't forget to play a few games and vote! Voting is open through this coming Monday. introcomp.org

Hey @tomgranger.bsky.social 👋 Jon suggested you might be interested in knowing "The Ivory Calico" (winner of IntroComp 2025) was made purely in Ink? victor-ojuel.itch.io/ivory-calico

Branching is the devil*'s work. * (in this case, me)

Writing client game: "We hired you to explore our forest and find chanterelles, but you found amanitas instead." Writing own game: "I hired myself to explore my own forest and find chanterelles, but instead I walked in on an international drug smuggling ring of sentient fungi, who're also pretty ho

I slept like a stone at the bottom of a pond *and* didn't wake up with a broken neck. Invest in youth and/or a good pillow.

What the German one-word for "the feeling when one of the plot branches has gotten so long and complex you contemplate making it the main/only branch"?

Nice to be back after the Month of Scorch, and with a couple of new projects up my sleeve! (Not that I'm wearing actual sleeves, mind you) 🫠

For Research! Dear blueskyers, recommend any good VNs that ARE: mystery-oriented? And if possible (here comes the kicker) NOT Japanese or of the Japanese school (you know what I mean).

Got mine! Who's coming to AdvX this year? I know it's a long way to November but I'm already thrilled to meet y'all there!

Hey all! Some ADVICE. Take it, ignore it, know it is offered in good faith. When applying for a job, people are looking for reasons to reject you. It's not personal, or vindictive. When they open your application they are hoping with all hope that you are the one they are looking for - Thread...

With the FaH we've moved on from Disney princesses to Ghibli films (thank goodness). Ponyo was lovely, Spirited Away a bit too scary, Kiki's Delivery Service the best of the "cool magic girl" lot, Arrietty flimsy and corny, with pretty terrible characters.

I keep reading it as "hentai virus".. 😅 www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...

Biggest indie dev disappointment of the year.

Also when you have a daughter you start worrying about Not Quite Feminist plots in a non-abstract, non-theoretical way. To be precise, in a "wtf is this shit" way.

Things you realize when you have a 4 year old #976: Sleeping Beauty (1959) is one of the very best Disney movies in terms of art direction. The animation is fine but the backgrounds are 😘👌🏼. Obviously inspired on German Gothic art, an absolute delight. (The plot is kinda Not Very Feminist, tho 😔)

To the tune of the Muppets Mahna Mahna song. Orban Orban He's gone, he's gone. Orban Orban He's gone, he's gone. Orban Orban He's gone, he's gone, he's gone, he's gone, on a plane, to Russia now....

Spring is back, and so are pests. Any idea what does this to a lemon tree?
