going to eurorust was cool as hell i got to meet a lot of cool people and i got very motivated to try to contribute :D

also not to be extremely cooked or whatever but i forgot that its so much fun to delve into a problem by hand and try to figure it out by reading the code and the docs, without clicking on the magical button that solves everything automatically

You can now deploy static sites with the bunny.net CLI. The new workflow wires up Storage, CDN, and DNS and puts the folder your framework builds live on our global network in one command.

Apparently Soteria Rust is gone? It was a formal methods mechanism for proving properties about Rust code with nondeterminism that I learned about from @sunshowers.io, but the GitHub repository appears to be gone and the org readme says they’re “embarking on a new adventure.”

the only bad part about Rust is that it makes me sob and cry every time i have to use a lang that doesn't have postfix await

Absolutely lost my shit at this co-op mode for Hearts of Iron, which you play as the Army, Navy, Emperor, and Government. All have their own win conditions aside the Government, which lost the game automatically in 1925. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

i know it is too much too ask but i just want firefox on mobile to cache the 6 or 7 tabs i have open so i can read them when there's no data

like yes i know im an asshole for wanting 7 html files to be downloaded on my phone so i can read blogposts on the tube or on a plane. im sorry

Today we bring you the second @localfirstconf.com Lab Day video. Follow Ivy Reese @spiralganglion.com as she whirls through PlayBook: A Programmable Paper Notebook It's a blank page in the truest sense, for pulling ideas out of your head so you can feel and think differently about them.

im making notion if it was wikidata if it was malleable there's a triples store (entity - predicate - value), and you write views on top of this store to interact with the data. there's some cool things: - you can make new views for any purpose you want! notes, bookmarks, todos, done ur way

- everything is in the same store, so you can cross reference data across views - entities don't have to be local! in the above example i reference an entity from imdb. i can have a local letterboxd alternative this is like a v1 but god im so happy with it

its lowk really funny how my 5 mins of fame were bc i got discord's clyde to do grandma rp

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has signed an executive order requiring data centers over 25 MW to meet 100% of their electricity demand with clean energy. They must provide the power themselves, fund new nearby generation or pay into a ratepayer protection fund.

not to start discourse but the 1-2 punch of seeing the "ai rights are trans rights" thing and thinking its crazy, then the day after reading this in a blog post is pretty surreal

maybe im too woke but pulling a "keep it in the bedroom" argument in the big 26 is insane what are we doing here

yes! ive figured it out ! the reason im barely writing is because my static site generator sucks. if only i could redo it from scratch, better, nicer, with less friction, id surely write more

asked astra to make a small voice coding harness that uses the realtime api and acts as a pair programmer and lowk this might be the most fun i've had in months. im just using my voice!! i can ask it questions/feedback about the code, suggestions, etc, but i can also just write code on my keyboard

lowk this is peak dev experience and it's what i've always wanted. shame agentic development worked out soooo well, cause there's a world where we get stuck in a limbo where this is what my day to day is like
