"We're showing people the same exact information presented two ways... The change in effect when you change from rates to prices, it was just enormous. I mean, I think they may have been the biggest effects I've ever seen."

Ben commented on how media organizations should vet pollsters: "You wouldn’t go to a doctor who wasn’t licensed or a lawyer who didn’t pass the bar, and media organizations should hold pollsters to the same standard."

He also noted where the public should be careful: "Where the public is going to have to be really careful is on social media and online, because news networks are only a small portion of what people consume..."

Our mission at Verasight is to expand access to high-quality survey data. Today, we’re taking a major step forward on that journey by launching Verasight Self-Serve where researchers can instantly launch studies to our verified community.

"When we asked participants how much they would support a nuclear waste facility that was 10 miles away... they actually had higher support than when we asked them how much they would support it if it was 50 miles... if it's closer, the community feels like they have some sort of control over it."

Verasight Self-Serve works with any survey programming software. If your questionnaire is in a Word processing document, you can upload it and have it converted to a Qualtrics QSF file rather than rebuilding it by hand.

Voter validation and voter file appends. Registered voter samples are validated with official voter file records, and voter file data can be appended to your responses.

Survey weights. Weights to Census data and benchmarks are produced when fielding closes, which ensures your sample reflects the true population and enables researchers to compare estimates over time.

Three things that make Verasight Self-Serve different: Multi-mode recruitment. Verasight panelists are recruited through address-based sampling, person-to-person text messaging, and dynamic online targeting.

"One really encouraging result that we saw is that all of the messages we tested resulted in a modest increase in trust in health professionals to communicate climate change information... not only are these messages not backfiring... they're actually boosting that."
