Veda Scott

The past week I’ve been to CDMX 2x to call lucha libre in Arena Mexico, to San Jose for BTW 30 fn years as a successful independent promotion, & yesterday I called a GCW show outside at a drive in theater HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE PRO WRESTLING MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE ON THE PLANET?!

So like - yes and no (imo!) I say mascot bc it’s specifically modeled on a sports mascot and just used for my entrances. I don’t really identify with the costume head as anything beyond that. It IS an anthropomorphized interpretation of my look, but not really anything internal if that makes sense?

Not a huge fan of Halloween mostly bc I believe in arranging your life so that you can logically show up in costume any time you want (slightly related, I was my own mascot for like a year)

INCREDIBLE NIGHT at Arena Mexico for #GrandPrixCMLL! So freaking proud of every woman in the match and honored I got to call it 🥹 Very happy for Skadi!

The Amazonas of #CMLL take on women from AEW, STARDOM, MLP, RevPro, MLW! One of my favorite nights of the lucha year is finally here! OH and I’ll be live in Arena Mexico leading the English commentary 🎙️🥰 Please join us on #MyAEW!

Day in the life of a pro wrestling commentator: 30 YEARS OF BTW edition!

Clip from a seminar I did w @t4twrestle.bsky.social. We were talking about how hard it is to stay motivated when you don’t see yourself represented in media, or when you feel unmotivated creatively, or when your goals simply feel impossible. Do it anyway. Do it for love of the game. Do it for you 💕

NEW VLOG 🎥 I went to Mexico City for a special all women’s #CMLL event! Then I 🚀 to San Jose to celebrate Big Time Wrestling 30th Anniversary! AND THEN I visited some giant, ancient sequoias in Calaveras Big Trees State Park! youtu.be/Kape7ICUgMc

Still buzzing from MLP Northern Rising! Always great to have @shootingtheindies backstage 📸

Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TOMORROW! Speedball Bailey vs Ilja Dragunov After qualifying for #AEWWrestleDream and competing in Clockwork Carnage, Speedball Bailey will fight vs #AEW’s newest signing Ilja Dragunov on Dynamite, in Dragunov’s AEW debut, TOMORROW NIGHT!

Finally saw You Can See Everything and it’s of course fantastic on multiple levels but I do wish there was a themed popcorn bucket (maybe a baby bouncer that launches kernels into your mouth) 10/10

Well this ruled 🥹 Sequoias in Calaveras Big Trees State Park @speedballbailey.bsky.social

In our Lorax era and went to see some big trees

What an honor to be part of BTW 30th Anniversary tonight in San Jose! Huge congrats to all 🥳

This is also fair! I’ve always kind of disagreed with that one too bc to me “work” is not negative. The work is the fun part, often? Difficult things can still be fun! But i also think Im not interpreting the original sentiment quite right either

“Don’t turn your hobbies into a job or you won’t enjoy them anymore” I strongly and neurodivergently disagree with this advice bc I do not have “hobbies” I have things I am interested in (all consuming) and things I am not interested in (might as well not exist) SORRY

I saw Veda wrestle once; they employed a Tim Horton's cup full of thumbtacks. Absolutely dastardly!

Got a bunch of new followers this week: I’m Veda Scott I’m a pro wrestling broadcaster. Commentary wherever, whenever! Interviews and hosting too. Ready, willing, and able to do it allll🎙 Let’s work together!

THE FRANCE VLOG IS OUT! Bonjour, tout le monde! New vlog is out now! Check out my video log - or vlog - from an amazing trip to Paris for #AEWGrandSlam! youtu.be/XPXznjTTARs

Reminder that even in his own time, Christopher Columbus was known as a cruel and greedy enslaver, eventually stripped of any political power, and should be left to rot forever amidst a “legacy” of incalculable harm to humanity. #IndigenousPeoplesDay

This time of year I like to sprinkle a little seasonal depression on top of my regular type, as a treat ✨

Apologies to pumpkin spice, but apple is the superior fall flavor 🍎

I always thought one of the hardest parts of getting older would be losing people around you; an endless cycle of grieving and comforting. But I also thought the “older” part would be so much later. 💔💕

NEW VLOG 🎥 I went to Toronto for MLP NORTHERN RISING 🇨🇦An incredible night celebrating pro wrestling Canadian style! AND while I was there I stopped by the Toronto Zoo in search of MAPLE the baby pigmy hippo 🍁🦛 youtu.be/RC_BPLcJBzM

HAVEN’T SEEN EACH OTHER FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK AND IT WAS AWFUL can you believe we used to have to spend months apart 😭

Egg Chair Mornings are back (until it’s too cold to keep my coffee hot ☕️)

♥️♥️♥️

If you want to steal from me, do it disguised as “Apple Services” and you can bleed me dry one mysterious $6.04 or $11.02 transaction at a time bc honestly I will never investigate further

INCREDIBLE night in Toronto for #MLPNorthernRising! Congratulations to the crew and talent of MLP, and especially Scott D’Amore for following his vision of 🇨🇦 wrestling all the way through to Maple Leaf Gardens. Thank you all - can’t wait to see what’s next!

GOING LIVE FOR THE COUNTDOWN TO #MLPNorthernRising! Head to #MyAEW right now to watch 🎤 And then at 8 PM it’s time for the biggest event in 🇨🇦 pro wrestling!

Watch: MLP Countdown to Northern Rising

I love Mexico, I love the people here and I love CMLL. Tonight was good for my soul and I needed it. Thank you all so much.

Hi I’m in 🇨🇦 for MLP watching @speedballbailey.bsky.social wrestle in 🇲🇽 for CMLL What a weird and wonderful life

🇨🇦

Push back against nonchalance. Refuse to simply drift along bc you’re afraid of seeming too invested or obsessed or intense If you care, care a lot we need all the way in over our heads purposeful care for our art and our friends and our community bc why the hell not

I don’t have a new vlog this week (next week for sure) but here’s my most recent video ICYMI: It’s time for ANIVERSARIO 93 🇲🇽 Lots of CMLL in Arena Mexico + let’s visit el Museo Nacional de Antropologia! Bonus: At least one dog 🐶 youtu.be/q1F9TlNb5jw

Welcome to October 🎃 (I am on the right)
