VectorBuilder is pleased to exhibit at British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy’s Annual Conference 2026 (bsgct.bsky.social). Have a chat with Christina McClure and Tasnim Hussain to learn about our latest offerings and services for your research and therapeutic development projects.

Alzheimer’s disease develops before symptoms appear, but early brain changes are not fully understood. New work from the Misha Zilberter lab shows APOE4 drives neuronal hyperexcitability in mice and identifies Nell2 as a mediator. CRISPRi KD of Nell2 normalized activity, pointing to an early target.

Our paper is now online at @nataging.nature.com! Alzheimer’s disease begins decades before symptoms—but what drives those earliest changes is still not well understood. We set out to understand how APOE4 disrupts neuronal and network function across aging. 🧵: 1/15 www.nature.com/articles/s43...

To celebrate 12 years of VectorBuilder, we’re making it easier to get your next few projects off the ground! We’ve set up a ""Savings Roadmap"" that scales with your research: 1st Order: 20% OFF (Code: Thankyou1st) 2nd Order: 15% OFF 3rd Order: 10% OFF

🐝 What should every student learn about vector design? In this last video, Dr. Shirley Coomber explains how VectorBee helps students understand the core elements of plasmid design, from selecting promoters to building functional expression vectors.

During the session, students constructed plasmids step by step while exploring biological analysis tools. They then used these skills to design an E. coli expression vector for a gene of interest before moving into the practical lab.

It was inspiring to see how VectorBee transforms vector design from a theoretical concept into an interactive learning experience. Stay tuned for our last VectorBee in Education video, where Dr. Coomber explains the key elements students need to understand when designing vectors.

By designing expression vectors for genes of interest in a computer-based exercise, students prepare to move from theory to applying those skills in the lab and future research. VectorBee is a forever-free tool built to support molecular biology education worldwide.

Why does lentivirus remain one of the most widely used gene delivery platforms? 🧬 In our upcoming Gene Delivery Seminar, you’ll learn about the features that make lentiviral vectors so effective and how you can optimize them for your research. Register here: us06web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...
