The kid got out of the sea and said “mom, I want to pee”. That’s true that every next generation is less smart.

Jumped to Claude and paid my own €90 only to experience CoWork. Of course, didn't get any work done 🤣

Last year I planted the hedge. I didn’t trust to hire ppl. Wild strawberries grow there, and contractors would just ruin everything. So, I removed a large layer of turf, then planted, and put back the turf (which, as I assumed, contained the wild strawberries). Soil autotransplantation. It worked!

Just got a test assignment which says “no use of AI, if you use AI, we disqualify your application”. The job description though highlighted that establishing AI-enabled workflows is one of the tasks. Thoughts, suggestions?

Family talk at breakfast today: Hubby: I went to a second-hand shop today and saw they were selling comics from year 85. Kid: Wait, what? There hasn’t even been a year 85 yet!

1pm, I ran out of tokens in both Cursor and Claude Code -> early pick up from the day care for the kids, the are getting the mom day, yay!

Designers! 🎨 Ready to stop playing "prompt roulette" when [vibe] coding? Join Sherif and me for a hands-on workshop. We'll show you a systematic way to get predictable results from Cursor. It's perfect for bridging the design-dev gap in 2026. ✨ Jan 27 • 9am PST / 6pm CET luma.com/bx46lust

Tokens naming convention I follow in my projects 👇 Prefix → Category → Group → Entity → Modifier → ID (each part is optional) Examples: - ds/color/global/blue/50 - Global color palette - ds/color/concept/brand/base - Conceptual brand color - ds/input/border/focus - Component-specific state

I was wondering why the windows in the ladies’ section in the gym were frosted, it would be nice to look outside. Then I suddenly realized why. What a f***ing world we’re living in. 🫠

The Technical Assessment started and... ended right away. Note: This is even before they had a look at my CV. I never got a call from an HR, maybe the position doesn't even exist and they just forgot to take the role off the website.

$1,000,000 — that’s how much my first client earned by investing in a design system. … and that was a long time ago, the numbers have only grown since then. Do you need to prove that #designsystems worth it? I’ve got plenty of materials that can help you build a strong case and I am happy to share.

Sil said that there will be pitches from stage, so I committed something to show the very last moment right from the audience! Let’s see how it works :-)

Applied for a job. CV says "Finnish C1". In the cover letter (in Finnish) I mention that too. Result: rejected because Finnish language skills are mandatory. They must mean Finnish skill of my granny (as usual) 🤣

Attention Europe-based design system fellows! We have the next breakfast on Sept 4th (Thursday) 🎉 The topic: UnoCSS: Instant On-demand Atomic CSS Engine, that nobody speaks about (but they should) The event is super casual, join and sip your coffee! See here: www.linkedin.com/posts/bridge...

If you are choosing an electro bike, the battery should be detachable. Well, not should, it MUST be detachable.

1. Work on a project with relevant challenges! Designers create token systems and themeable Figma components, developers build component libraries with React and Storybook. 2. Use a one-hour individual consultation within two months after the workshop to dive deeper into your specific questions.

It's been 3 years since our last workshop - our team has worked on many projects and gathered design system recipes to share with you. If you want to level up your design system, this workshop is for you! We'll help create and enhance the libraries using Figma, React, and Storybook.

Today is bad LLM day. Tried to fix a bug with Cursor via ChatGPT and Claude. No luck. Tried Deepseek, that also failed. Finally googled a one-line solution at StackOverflow. Basically, that one-line was a configuration option. Meh!

With €X in savings, how would you split it between cash (in a bank) and investments? Options: all cash, all investments, 50/50, 6 months’ salary in cash + the rest invested, 12 months’ salary in cash + investments, 3 months’ salary in cash + the rest invested. Or your suggestion?

What does the title #DesignEngineer mean to you? I'm putting together an article and I'd love to hear what your thoughts are, especially in relation to #DesignSystems. Boost for reach? 💜

I tried Cursor for the 1st time and I am amazed! Subscribed to both ChatGPT and Claude, they helped a lot with coding. But Cursor offers access to their models within its own subscription. Planning to switch completely. 🧵

There was one obstacle though. Last time, I used Claude for social media illustrations. It was convenient with its preview feature. Switching to Cursor meant losing that. But guess what? With Cursor, you can build whatever app. In just 30 minutes, I created my own AI app for illustrations.

Look at this! The app generated this picture. My #designsystems dreams, brought to life by my app. Amazing! Before my 30-minute journey from idea to app, I struggled with UI and settings. Thanks to my friend Nikita, now I'm an expert. Wow!

My 2025 starts with sea view (and no ice on it!). Hope and wish you all that this day and the other days in this year we relax and enjoy life!

Emil wanted a Master V Tobot for xMas. We found it only on AliExpress, directly from the factory in China. Joulupukki couldn't manage the delivery on time (no wonder!). But we have Russian Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) who brings presents under the *New Year* tree. He saves the day :-)
