The curse of being a late blooming suspected AUDHDer is I know what my perfect job is and I have known since I was a kid but I lack the ability to structure and motivate myself to build it. I'm a Neuro-Spicy Hobbit who needs Gandalf to drag me out of the Gov IT Shire

One of the reasons I bounce off LLMs so hard is that especially for search: it is doing the part that I am good at and enjoy and am way better at than it is. My brain is an information drift net that loves finding how random shit it picks up sticks together. I don't need a machine for that.

I know I need to get some positive thoughts going but it's difficult when my wife is facing yet another rejection letter from a job she's probably over qualified for. I'm not meant to be the sole provider for this family.

Still no word on the stolen car. About two more days till the insurance declares it a total loss. Not that we will be able to afford to buy much to replace it since Mandi is still out of work. On the bright side only two more months till she can get unemployment again :(

#rctid I am interested in the dismissal of the director of scouting. I remember when he came in he seemed like a big gamble. Not a ton of experience but signs of possible big upside. Obviously didn't pan out totally. Curious to see where they go with that hire.

The parks were all a ton of fun but felt a little lacking in something. I know the timing of the visit plays into that so I'm not docking a ton of points there. But the lack of Marvel stuff felt BIG. I get why but man is it glaring.

As a #Disneyland guy going to #WDW was weird and cool. There's stuff there that I loved, but it was all the stuff around the parks. Disneyland is better than all 4 WDW parks aside from maybe Epcot (but Epcot has issues that DL doesn't) and CA is on par with all of the rest. At least for me.

The view from Topolino's Terrace on our departure day from Disney World. It's been cool. Been a dream of mine for a long time to come here. My wife made it happen. Took us a long time to save up. Disneyland is still better but I get the appeal.

Watched the game on mute but so glad to hear ol #ShortShorts Ross Smith and Jake Zivin on the call. Biggest moss of the apple deal is that Portland's homegrown announce talent doesn't get to be on our games in the regular #rctid

I seriously doubt the Chinese government wants to access my home network for any reason. I harbor no such doubts about the US government though. They absolutely want to look at my shit. They want to stop supply side vulnerabilities so they can introduce their own.

Merritt, if you want to buy our love back (you won't but we'd love to see you try) this would be a good start. #rctid

It appears the Timbers should now load TWO dump trucks full of cash. One for Wilfrid Nancy, and now one for Garth Lagerwey. #RCTID

Good to see. He made zero attempt to not step on Pantemis' head.

Houston Dynamo FC forward Nick Markanich has been suspended for one additional match (two matches total) and fined an undisclosed amount after his serious foul play in the 93rd+ minute of Houston’s match against Portland Timbers on March 14th. #HoldItDown | #RCTID | #MLS

This is a tradition I knew nothing about until I had kids and my wife was like "time to build a leprechaun trap!" I don't truck with fey.

ceej@ceej.online

my kid came home from kindergarten today and announced she was setting a trap to catch a leprechaun. apparently other kids at school always end up with candy and treats in their annual leprechaun traps, so she’s pretty stoked to see what she gets. I am begging other parents to fucking cool it

I do hope that the people saying that Paulson's goal was to sell after he gets his World Cup payout from the league and hopefully the team value is at a high. That said I hope it's not to the Thorns' owners #rctid

I feel like Steam has desensitized me to sales. Just got a notification for a game on my wishlist being on sale from $70 down to $50. That is a significant discount but in my mind if it's on steam I can't consider it a sale unless it's under $20.

One of my favorite concert memories is Ted Leo with a practice amp taped to his head.

Ted Leo 🍉@tedleo.bsky.social

The definitive cover of War Pigs was done by Ted Leo & The Pharmacists bum rushing the stage to join Quasi at The Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, in… 2002? 2003? Can’t remember. But I taped a little cig pack amp to my forehead and played it into a vocal mic and that version was the one.
