I’m so happy games like this still exist. Project Aces have once again delivered an exceptional experience. The gameplay, story, and music all come together perfectly. 1/
I was quite happy to see that Project Aces is not abandoning Electrosphere. In fact this game basically hard sets the stage for the events of Ace Combat 3. I feel like Kazutoki Kono-san has teed up a re-imagining of AC3 as his career capstone. 4/
Both AC7 and 8 have leaned toward making something like Re:AC3 a reality. My best bet would be that AC9 is AC3 but not from Nemo’s perspective. I’d wager that Nemo would be our main antagonist, or at least an Ace we have to go against. 5/5

As the second squad based game in the series I felt Aces meaning improved the dynamics and depth of the characters. I love War Dog Squadron from Ace Combat 5, but Joker Flight might just pull ahead. Speaking of War Dog, Kei Nagase (Edge) made an in-game appearance for a mission and that was cool. 2/
The music for this entry is phenomenal. It definitely stands with the rest of the series. I think on the whole it’s better than 4, 5, 6 but not better than Zero or 7. 1-3 I can’t rightfully compare because the OSTs aren’t anywhere near the same styles or directions. 3/
<< Kept you waiting, huh? >>
"Aces Without Borders", our second #AceCombat album, is out on Bandcamp! And to kick things off properly, here's a video for Blue Skies.

Got to do some arcade plays in Japan. My best friend from elementary school took me to his old Tokyo haunts. Hit a bit of Tekken Tag since we played that on PS2 a lot. Sadly not a lot going on with Guilty Gear the day we went but we played some matches where my Milia constantly stomped by his May.
Now that I’m home from traveling I finally get to experience Ace Combat 8 in its full glory. This game is beautiful and the moment to moment gameplay the series is known for has been retained. 1/
Overall I see why this entry ranks highly but I’m not sure it’s actually better than 5 or 0 yet. Those games benefited and suffered from their fast releases back in the day. 5/

The sound and music are of course on point. Never a question to start with. I’m a bit mixed on the new paradigm for storytelling. I kind of preferred AC7’s approach which was similar to AC4, 5, & 0. AC8 feels like a mix of 3, 5, and 6 with more emphasis on interpersonal squad dynamics for drama. 3/
It works except that it falls into the trap of too much talking and video cuts between gameplay and menus. The balance could be a bit better but it’s not terrible just pace stalling at times. 4/

The new physics feel like something between Ace Combat 6 and Project Wingman: weighty, but not in a way that hinders the “I’m in a fighter jet movie that’s basically Gundam” fantasy. 2/
Most normies, the kind that would have spit on me growing up for liking games and anime, come Japan to pilfer the country of pop culture goods for resale or block traffic for fake internet points on SMS. I go to visit my friends, who are so close they are part of my family.

Went to Kabukicho, fought Godzilla, bar hopped across 3 heavy metal theme bars, and got hit on by a 22 (I’m almost 40) year old who I ended up giving dating advice for finding a stable relationship after I turned her down .
Yakuza is crazy accurate.
I completed the "Tournament" mode for Screamer. This game is definitely a top of 2026 for me. The gameplay, art, and music all come together to make one of the best racing experiences I had in years.
SuperStation batch 5 is live. These units are in stock and available for normal shipping. Last chance to buy a black SS1. It will be discontinued in batch 6.

Dolly Parton was universally loved because she was a rich person who knew what it was like to be poor, stayed down to earth, and spent her life giving back to others who were less fortunate.
The oligarchs who don’t understand why everyone hates them probably won’t learn from this. But they should
The most racist, bigoted person you've seen on your timeline who regularly calls for the government to slash funding for charitable causes: "Genuine tears for Dolly Parton passing. She stood for so much."
When I hit the Rekka fight earlier today and The Flaming Lips "Free Radicals," performed by Elsinore, turned up I was transported back to 2006. Hi-Fi Rush was 1000% worth the wait for the physical copy.
Found out that there was a proper Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn for PA3 released only Japan. It’s another From Soft developed title but not an ACE crossover. Downloaded the game to my PS3 and one striking element is that it uses the actual musical arrangements from Unicorn.
