Until Mike Flanagan proves me otherwise, "The Haunting of Hillhouse" will only be second to "Midnight Mass" when it comes to horror miniseries.

I think this is the only time I've been kind of disappointed with a new #GBC build. I wanted to see how these Half Reflection Half Transmission LCD kits are. In bright light, they look almost oem. Low light using the backlight , the screen reflections creates a distracting holographic effect.

Very fun game #Halo Combat Devolved. I really hope the developer get more time to work on it.

Conspiracy Theory: AI generated code tends to be sloppy because poorly written code requires more tokens to fix and add features.

Working on a project for the #Retrotink4k using a #Esp32. New serial updates in the new firmware are pretty cool.

Cut down some trees and remove large fallen branches today. This poor guy looked so confused after.

Fresh batteries and cleaning the zebra strips was all that this #Pokedex needed. So happy to own one again.

At work today I had to ask the team of vibe coders "What value is this project providing?" Crickets...

It was a tight fit but replaced the crystal with a new one and it seems to be working. I found some with the correct frequency so I was curious if it would work. Audio sounds correct and was able to trade pokemon.

So this crystal test kit arrived missing two capacitors and its 20mhz crystal is a mislabeled 18mhz. I love aliexpress sometimes.

I'm starting to see more AI at work and the results are terrifyingly bad. I've been to Italy multiple times and I've never seen this much spaghetti

Out of the 6 #GBA boards 2 are fully repaired and working (just need to recap) 2 have enough damage around the volume wheel that I think they are good candidates for a board swap since they boot games 2 had a lot of battery leaking. They boot to the start screen, but not games (and no gb mode)

The second board is fully working now. It wouldn't boot if a screen was inserted. Found a short on the power regulator so I reflowed that area (one of the caps there looked like it was tombstoned after someone bumped it replacing a shoulder)

Net improvement on one board, reflowing the ram and CPU got it to boot into games. Audio is still broken

After seeing the latest #Zaparoo update, I had to make a dedicated **launch.last #FloppyDisk

I'm looking at playing Chrono Trigger for the first time. Out of the three options, which do you think I should play on (portable options are nice so I can play more consistently, but the OLED TV does make the games pop): 1. Snes: Mister: through #Retrotink 4k 2. Snes: #Analogue Pocket Core 3. #DS

Is PlatformIO a good solution for developing ESP32/Arduino? I am looking for an easier way to compile for more boards and configurations without all the overhead in Arduino Studio.

A longer version of my Cartridge Slot Extender for the #Analogue #Pocket. I need to make an updated shell but it's scanning those @retrodotcards.com cards just fine. Gerbers are available on my github.

Well the first game I wanted to do a full playthrough on the #Analogue3D has graphical issues. Guess Tarzan was doing some advanced features

Are you a #HomeAssistant and #Zaparoo user? I would love to get some feedback on a integration (services that would be useful, sensors that should be exposed, etc...) github.com/ZaparooProje... Currently you need to add it as a custom repo, but soon we should have it available in default via hacs.

This #GBA SP is now charging and ready to go. EM8 needed a reflow, the charge led needed a replacement (now it's a nice blue), and it needed a bodge to reconnect F2 to D1. Going to have to play through some #KingdomHearts to put it through its paces.

Had to repair some ripped pads and rusted volume slider but the #GBA sp should be back in working order now. Big thanks to @nataliethenerd.com for all the board scans. Would have taken a lot longer to find that broken trace without them.

It's been a bit more chaotic than expected but I think I'm fully migrated to #Unifi UDM SE. I saw a deal to pick one up for open box for $350.

Just got in a holder for all my #Zaparoo #MisterFPGA floppy disks. Thinking about the next batch of labels.
