UUs believe in growth, change, and transformation. But we also love the familiar things that make our communities feel like home. 💛 Change is part of growing together. And it's okay to need a minute to adjust—even when we welcome it. 😉 #UnitarianUniversalist #UU #UUMemes

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor Indigenous histories, celebrate living cultures, and recognize Indigenous leadership. As UUs, we commit to moving toward action—respecting Tribal sovereignty, upholding treaty rights, and supporting Indigenous communities. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #UU

On National Coming Out Day, we celebrate LGBTQIA+ people coming out on their own terms. Whether your journey is joyful, uncertain, or still unfolding, you deserve love, dignity, and belonging. Your truth. Your timing. Your story. You are loved exactly as you are. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ #NationalComingOutDay #UU

On World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate the educators, mentors, and faith formation leaders who nurture curiosity, make room for questions, and help us imagine what’s possible. Thank you for all you bring to our communities. 💛 #WorldTeachersDay #UnitarianUniversalist #UU #Education #FaithFormation

On this autumnal equinox, we honor the balance of light and dark, the gifts of the harvest, and the turning season. Blessed Mabon to all who observe. May this be a time of gratitude, reflection, and renewal. 🍂 #Mabon #AutumnalEquinox #UU

To all who observe Yom Kippur, may this sacred day offer space for reflection, renewal, forgiveness, and peace. May you and your loved ones be surrounded by compassion, hope, and the promise of new beginnings. G’mar chatimah tovah. 💙 #YomKippur #UnitarianUniversalist #UU

Question of the Week: What is your congregation surprisingly good at doing? Potlucks? Music? Organizing volunteers? Knowing Robert’s Rules well enough to be mildly dangerous? 😄 Tell us in the comments: what’s your congregation’s unexpected superpower? #QuestionOfTheWeek #UU #Community #Faith

Shanah tovah to our Jewish siblings and all who are celebrating Rosh Hashanah. 🍎🍯 May this new year bring reflection, renewal, peace, deeper connection, and hope for what we can build together. Shanah tovah u’metukah. May it be a good and sweet new year. #RoshHashanah #UU

Video description: Vertical video of grasses moving against a blue sky, with a prayer by Carleigh Heckel displayed on a white panel. It reflects on love, care, creativity, and sustaining life. UUA branding appears throughout, ending with @THEUUASSOCIATION.

We remember poet, essayist, farmer, and environmentalist Wendell Berry, whose work called us toward deeper relationship with one another, the land, and the communities we share. May his words continue to inspire lives rooted in care, trust, and responsibility. #WendellBerry #UU #BelovedCommunity

This week’s UU Acronym of the Week: 𝘾𝙎𝘼𝙄 - 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙮 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙚. CSAIs invite UU congregations into three years of study, reflection and action on a shared justice issue—and can lead to a Statement of Conscience. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4xWsSfZ #UUA #AcronymOfTheWeek

Congratulations to Unitarian Universalist Animal Ministry on 40 years of widening the circle of compassion. 🐾 For four decades, UUAM has helped UUs deepen our commitment to interdependence, justice, and care for nonhuman animals and the Earth we share. #UU #UnitarianUniversalist #Interdependence

Because UU shorthand can be a whole language of its own, we’re starting a new series: 𝙐𝙐 𝘼𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙮𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠. Each week, we’ll decode one acronym you may hear in UU spaces. First up: 𝗖𝗢𝗔 = 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗲. #UUA #UnitarianUniversalism #ComingOfAge #AcronymOfTheWeek

COA = Coming of Age. In many UU congregations, Coming of Age is a milestone for teens—a time to explore UUism, reflect on their values and beliefs, and begin putting those beliefs into words. #UUA #UnitarianUniversalism #ComingOfAge #AcronymOfTheWeek

Coming of Age often culminates in a special ceremony where youth share credo statements with the congregation: personal expressions of what they believe, what matters to them, and how they want to live those values. #UUA #UnitarianUniversalism #ComingOfAge #AcronymOfTheWeek

Thoreau’s three chairs offer a simple image for the connections that sustain us: solitude, friendship, and community. A full life asks us to find a balance among all three—and to trust ourselves to know when each one is needed. #UnitarianUniversalist #UU

In this poem, Charles Thomas reclaims “fundamentalist” as a declaration of what we refuse to compromise: human rights, fairness, equity, accountability, care for the Earth, peace and freedom for all. These are the fundamentals our #UU faith calls us to live. #UnitarianUniversalist #FaithInAction

We may be a relatively small faith community, but somehow UUs have a way of finding one another—sometimes in the most surprising places. 💛✨ What is the most unexpected place you have met another UU? We’d love to hear your story in the comments! 👇 #QuestionOfTheWeek #UU #Faith #BelovedCommunity

The Unitarian Universalist Association reposted

For all my Unitarian Universalist friends and colleagues. Details on Tuesday's live session.

UU Growth Lab@uugrowthlab.bsky.social

UU Leaders! It may be July, but I know many of you have UU GROWTH on your mind. Tuesday’s live session (July 14) is on the massive need for more volunteers across our congregations. Want to participate? Full details: www.peterbowden.live/newsletters/...

As a new week begins, may we make room for possibility. Our faith reminds us that we are more than the sum of our parts, and the world is more than a problem to solve. May we meet this week with curiosity, hope, and open hearts. #MondayReflection #UU
