If there was ever a time to get in on the ground floor in West Virginia I guess it’d be now

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court agrees to review Reconstruction-era ban on distilling spirits in private homes.

My parents went with the “better opportunities route” I ended up in a catholic private school housing 5th-12th graders; I would be one of the three total black students. I developed depression and behavioral issues that didn’t get resolved until my 20’s

Joel D. Anderson@joelanderson.bsky.social

What I think about this is: For black parents, there’s no one clear correct answer. My parents chose the other route and while it worked out academically, I was mostly unhappy with my educational experience and missed going to school with my friends in our neighborhood.

Saw this on FB. If you’ve ever enjoyed Aqua Teen, please help if you can. Someone who’s such an integral part of one of Adult Swim’s most beloved shows deserves much better than this.

Something doesn’t sit right with me about attacking RFK JR. for being a former heroin addict. Like he is a piece of shit completely separate from that and I don’t feel like addiction alone should come with a life sentence of shame. Still hate that man though.

Florida’s sunshine law is a great example of why this a terrible idea

TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

Not a moral objection, but a political one. These people do not care about you.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans. 🧵 1 of 9

RFK Jr: "All of the ingenuity of corporate America has not produced an infant formula that is superior in nutrition and all the qualities that we want to the infant formula that God made, which is the infant formula in a mother's breast."

Behn: My biggest pet peeve in politics is when people who don’t live in the South say, “You get what you voted for.” I didn’t vote for the highest maternal mortality rate in the country. I didn’t vote for the highest inflationary cost of groceries in the country.

I got a cousin who is just a dude I met in daycare when I was 3. His parents are my aunt and uncle.

In a bit of a tense moment, one of the La Mega co-hosts presses Mamdani on why he "lied" about his "aunt" having been scared to ride the subway after 9/11 while wearing a hijab. Mamdani says it was "not a lie" because he refers to his father's cousin as his "aunt."

Some sports gamblers are trying to predict WNBA players’ performance—and the outcomes of games—based on the athletes’ periods. One betting content creator has dubbed it “blood money." www.wired.com/story/men-ar...

Honestly, this may be one of the most important media graphs I've ever seen. The claim: Democrats keep using annoying words. The data: Republicans CLAIMS Democrats use them, which then becomes the narratives. Then centrists attack DEMS for things GOPer CLAIM they say, not GOP for making stuff up.

1) Making Lindsay’s celebrity comeback about everybody else is insane 1A) Finally stopping the public shaming because Lohan rose above it is not a redemption story for society 2) You’re the fucking WASHINGTON POST

Lindsay Lohan has not just made it through relentless bullying and exploitation from the Paparazzi Industrial Complex™, but is now thriving. With “Freakier Friday,” her big-screen return is a testament to her resilience — and perhaps a redemption story for us, too. wapo.st/3UizQKB
