Question being asked out of ignorance or naivete: What does Iran get out of harassing Israel? They are spending large amounts of money supporting Hizboleh and Hamas. Why? Israel is 1000 miles from Iran. They both have munitions that can bridge that gap, but so do others in the region.

I don't believe that there is any innate religious emnity. I suspect that Muslims should be more suspicious of Christians than Jews. Based on recent postings, it seems that the Crusades haven't ended in some minds.

Israeli isn't dealing fairly with the Palestinians but what is that to Iran? Some of the Arab countries surrounding Israel might not like that, but Iranians aren't Arab. No real "familial" reason. Do Iranians hate Jews? Not sure. Jews, in the past, lived somewhat comfortably in Iran.

The Washington Post business model is a bit confusing. “We lost subscribers because we weren’t giving them what them want — so let’s fire a bunch of people so that we can give them less.”

leaving them immobilized and unable to relieve pain or adjust their posture. The structure offered no meaningful protection from the outdoors; detainees said they were left exposed to extreme Florida heat, relentless humidity, direct sunlight, swarms of insects,

Amnesty International reports that detainees at Alligator Alcatraz (and at another facility, Krome North Service Processing Center) describe being placed in a “punishment box,” a cage-like structure in the yard so cramped that people could not sit, lie down, or even shift their weight.

Some detainees say they were kept inside for hours at a time, and in the most serious accounts, for nearly an entire day. In several cases, individuals reported having their hands and feet shackled or fixed to the ground while confined in the box,

Trump has broken America. In many ways. The economy, basic rights, foreign policy, graft, etc. We know the list. I am thankful for all of the people who are working in their own ways to block things, slow things down, protest, sue...

These plans will not only provide a blueprint but also a vision for citizens to know what they are voting for and what they are getting. The plans need to provide a blueprint on how we are going to begin fixing all the broken stuff and also how we are going keep it from happening again.

Fixing these problems could take a decade. Our founding fathers were brave and intelligent men who were naive by 2020 standards. Who is going to provide the leadership? Who is going to write the plans? Who is going to get democratic politicians and citizens to rally around it? We need to start now!

But it isn't too early to start putting a plan in place to start fixing things. It needs to be big, bold, and visible. We need a Project 2027 on the chance that the democrats retake Congress in 2026 and we need a Project 2029 on the hope that the democrats run the table in 2028.

Excuse the paranoia, but why would Elmo be willing to lose over $100B? 1. He believe the return on what he is doing will be more than that, or 2. He expects to have so much power over the world that it doesn’t matter. Is there a 3?

You are up to date.
