I made a video about painting my halberdier for Olden Demon. I discuss my thinking, give some commentary on the painting process and look back at what worked and what didn't. This is a bit of an experiment for me as I haven't done a painting video before. Link in my bio.

Here is the first converted 40K Armageddon boy, now painted. Half way through painting I decided to shave off the metal things on the shoes as they still looked too high tech. Painting wise I am pretty happy except for the shield. I think the stretch lines don't really work. #warhammer #mordheim

Here's the complete unit! All of them are converted from the new 40K Armageddon set. I had to shift them around a bit but now they mostly rank up in any order. I gave the champion a rock to stand on as he looks a bit short otherwise. #orks #armageddon #warhammer40k #warhammertheoldworld #mordheim

Here is the champion! I was planning to make him a musician holding a blowing horn, but changed my mind last minute as I thought the helmet I sculpted was more fitting for a champ. The severed heads are from the old stormvermin kit. #orks #armageddon #warhammer40k #warhammertheoldworld #mordheim

Here's no. 4! I was going to put a shield in the left hand, but the pose looked a bit awkward, so I decided a two-handed weapon worked better. Sculpting hands is challenging, but I welcome it. #orks #armageddon #warhammer40k #warhammertheoldworld #mordheim

Here's how the first 3 rank up. With a bit of strategic repositioning I was able to get them to work in any combination. Since my last update, I thickened the banner pole in hopes of making the hand seem smaller. #orks #armageddon #warhammer40k #warhammertheoldworld #mordheim

Here is no. 2! He's using a looted ogre gut plate as a shield. I sculpted the sword out of plasticard. I left the straps in place, but I sculpted a continuation of the shirt underneath them. #orks #armageddon #warhammer40k #warhammertheoldworld #mordheim #warhammercommunity

I loved these Armageddon Orkz at first sight so I decided to get a few and convert them. I began by shaving off anything that looked futuristic. Then I realized there were also other things that could fit fantasy, but I didn't want to paint. #orkz #armageddon #warhammer40k #warhammertheoldworld

I got 2 awards in the Squidmar Open! This feels incredible! I'm not sure which I'm more proud of: one is gold, but the silver is my most ambitious project. I am a very slow painter. I've always wished I could improve my timing but I've always focused on quality primarily. Recently I've been impressed by how much Roman Lappat can paint in a short time and while I can't do what he does, I would like to get faster. #warhammer #paintingwarhammer

2025 has been one of the worst years for me on a personal level, but I also managed to achieve some things I am very proud of: sculpting my first miniature, blending more landscape painting with my miniatures, creating the artwork for my band's new single and releasing my first youtube video.

Here's my entry for the MPO Orkvember 2025. I was hoping to spend more time on this but I had to rush to get it submitted. I think the gold is too yellow. All the leather is very rough and I didn't fix the axe on the black orc. Still, I think they look great as a group and I'm happy with the faces.
