i don't care what the issue is, if your election opponent is running millions of dollars in ads about one single issue, you cannot, under any circumstances, say that your opponent is right about the issue.

I'll be running teaching games of Blood on the Clocktower at this event all day! Come make friends and kill them!

here's a fun lil exercise for cis people: how many articles would a publication have to print calling for your extermination before you would expect people who care about you to stop giving them money? and how would you feel if their excuse for still supporting them is some fuckass crossword puzzle?

The reason Trump is allowed to do this is because he's a useful vehicle to pass the far right's worst impulses. Biden was moderately liberal at best and not very effective at advancing his backer's demands (J6 accountability, Universal HC, Palestinian Justice), so he got booted

"Everybody Transgender" factoid actualy just statistical error. average person transes no gender. Eustathius, who lives in cave & gets their gender transed 10,000 times each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted”

"One study found that increasing the number of people who receive SNAP benefits by 5 percent could have prevented nearly 32,000 suicides over 15 years. And a $1 increase in minimum wage has been linked to roughly 8,000 fewer suicide deaths over a decade."

Sometimes "estrogen would save her" means literally just going on HRT would resolve her issues, but other times it means "a radical act of self-determination would reframe so much of how she views herself and the world around her, she'd come out of it a changed, better person."

My one critique of FF7 Rebirth is that shops in new towns don't feel exciting anymore. In the OG, when you got to a new city, you got a whole bunch of new materia options, but all of that is now gated behind Chadley. Junon had fun story beats, but I miss being excited to see the new shop offerings

This is fundamentally why I stopped playing magic on any meaningful scale. I still have my 32 EDH decks as my trophy of my decade invested, but its so hard to not feel like the bad guy when I ask my friends to not ruin my fun by playing UB cards in our EDH games

I think that this is also why we're seeing a drop in "right wing extremist violence" being reported this year. Its not counted as terrorism by the state if it's state sanctioned action, even if it's exactly the same

One thing that comes through awfully clearly in these ICE videos is how many of these goons gravitated toward the job because being able to assault people with impunity is a big thrill for them.

Today, the UN officially designated Israel’s assault on Gaza as a genocide. As a party to the Genocide Convention, the U.S. has a legal obligation to obey our own laws, stop weapons sales to Israel, and demand a permanent ceasefire. End the genocide. Ceasefire now.

I feel like people deflecting from Trump's deportations to other countries deporting people overstaying their visas is the same argument as deflecting from US Chattel Slavery by saying "Every country in history has had slaves" Sure we use the same word, but the scale and cruelty is uniquely American

Watching the new Big Joel video and there's a part where Maher says that Natives also waged wars all the time. This is just the same argument as above. We wiped out 90% of their entire population, but it's ok because they had tribal skirmishes. Both are just "war"
