🚨 Six WebPKI Intermediate CAs are compromised. This is bigger than Heartbleed, but a client-side issue. Anything that verifies certificates against public roots, like most TLS clients, is/was affected. Details, live test, patched versions and workarounds at emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com Act now.

Don't worry that lots of activities have been removed from treeline (all test data, over 1000 activites). We have been doing some testing of privacy/blocking/deactivate/takedowns and account deletion. Not fancy, but needed for user safety and privacy.

Were cooking! With over 1000 activities indexed, we needed a better way to look at the archive. Also, skiing should be detectable and viewable as well. The next update is in testing! Maybe out today, but @larakin.systems has to go to Moab UT. to generate more test data. So more likely next week.

The last few weeks have been amazing at Treeline. From our very first non-test users, to 8 others joining and 100's of activities shared! @larakin.systems is doing his best to keep the things running. We've got plenty more fixes in the pipeline! What do you want from Treeline.world?

We released this yesterday, but it was a minor change so we didn't make a post. But, a bigger .17 update is coming right around the corner.

Treeline v0.15: "Save as my activity" 🌲 Forget to record? Save a copy of the track to your own account. It's co-athletes only by default, heart rate and power are stripped, it can't be more visible than the original. Hosts choose who can save theirs, and can unlink a copy. treeline.world

πŸ“¦ Scale & Precision Imports: Bringing years of Strava history? Our new streaming CLI and resumable browser importer handle 5,000+ activities smoothly. Smart spatiotemporal deduplication skips duplicates and upgrades low-res GPX to sensor-rich FIT in-place.

πŸ”’ Privacy & Sovereignty: Raw telemetry stays sovereign on your PDS. v0.14 adds PDS-backed athlete blocks (world.treeline.graph.block), biometrics protection on group streams, and clean account purging. Own your outdoor adventures: 🌲 treeline.world

πŸ‘₯ Groups & Replay: Treeline detects when you and your crew move together, grouping activities into single feed cards with mutual stats and tagging. Hit Replay to watch solo or group outings unfold on the map with a synchronized time scrubber and live elevation needle.

Sorry guys. our appview is currently down. Some pesky test user decided to import 1200+ activities twice! (it was me, I'm the problem) Were working on the fixes. Please stand by...

Everything is back up and running smoothly. Importing a whole 20 year history is a decent hit on the system. But it works now.

After 5 patches were back up. Still some processing to do, but things should be better.

Some of them are already fixed and deployed. Like better trail and segment detection. We will continually be updating and improving the appview and UI. So expect changes. Next up, Group runs and a hardened Strava bulk import. Were testing that now so you may see many new activities come and go.

Treeline v0.12 AND v0.13 just landed back-to-back! πŸŒ²πŸš€ Having 1 active user (me) has been great for shipping fast, but it’s getting to be time for others to start using it too. Can’t guarantee no breaking changes yet, but I promise to treat your data as carefully as my own.

🌲 Treeline v0.10 is out! Our biggest release yet: a rebuilt data model, Top Results for your efforts, trail condition reports, and private activities stored in ATProto Spaces. Your rides and runs still live in your own PDS. 🧡

πŸ”’ Private activities If your PDS supports the new ATProto Spaces, you can upload to a private diary that only you can see. The feed has All | Private tabs. Private activities can't be reshared or reacted to. Hosts without Spaces yet show "Coming soon".

πŸ† Top Results Every activity now gets a results card: PRs, 2nd/3rd best, and course records (CRs) on the segments you rode. Leaderboards now run on proper segment-effort indexing, so they're much faster.

Another minor app update today. We did some better trail and segment matching, cleaner oauth flows, and better deep linking to socials. I know. boring still. but once we get the core systems running well we will start building fun features! Gear tracking, cool visualizations and maps, and more!

Treeline v0.9.0 is live! 🌲 Under-the-hood hardening & usability updates: β€’ Transactional SQLite WAL engine (faster indexing, isolated telemetry) β€’ Session scoping + clear OAuth permission disclosures β€’ Cross-format parser parity (GPX, TCX, binary FIT) β€’ Feed transition fix treeline.world

Really need to come up with a better versioning. there will be lots of background updates for awhile while we harden the backed and the service.

Just shipped Treeline v0.7.1 🌲✨ We modernized the activity detail view with a clean outdoor cockpit, added direct Bluesky like provenance badges (πŸ¦‹), fixed reaction dropdowns, and rolled out full ATProto service authentication & privacy-clipped map previews. Check it out at treeline.world

Another Update! We've added VERY basic trail and route detection. We use public trail info on the internet for our initial matching. You can store your own routes to your pds!

You are up to date.
