Next year, premiums will rise even more because Republicans and Trump passed the single largest cut to Americans’ healthcare in history. Reverse the cuts. Reinstate the ACA tax credits. Fix our broken healthcare system.

Last week, I had the opportunity to tour their facility in Lawrence and learn more about their work. They’re just one example of the medical innovation happening here in Massachusetts focused on unlocking new treatments and cures that will make all the difference for patients.

In Congress, I’m a proud supporter of the Restore Protections for Dialysis Patients Act because patients shouldn’t lose their private coverage options because a plan decides to carve out dialysis!

For four decades, the MIT Media Lab has challenged boundaries, taking on questions once considered out of reach for humans and technology alike. It was an honor to celebrate the lab’s 40th anniversary today and discuss what the future of our Democracy looks like in the age of AI!

Flu-related hospitalizations and deaths have increased at an alarming rate in recent years, and there’s something simple you can do to prevent it: Get your flu shot! It’s safe, effective, and free with most health insurance plans. I got mine. I hope you’ll join me!

From nurse training to pharmacy technician certification, these programs will help students gain the hands-on experience they need to get to work and grow in the healthcare field.

But there’s still more work to do. I look forward to continuing working with our local and state partners to bring federal dollars into the fold and build on this important progress.

Their team serves children, youth, and adults facing educational, developmental, and mental health challenges. They’re Lancaster’s largest employer. Most of their workforce lives right here in our district.

That’s why housing projects like this are so crucial – because our seniors shouldn’t have to worry about having a roof over their heads. I’m already looking forward to returning!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of cutting the ribbon on the new Cath Lab at Lawrence General Hospital. If someone is having a heart attack, a Cath Lab can help doctors quickly identify blocked arteries and restore blood flow to the heart.

Having that capability close to home can save critical time when every minute matters. Now we need to build on this progress. As rural and community hospitals face mounting cuts, we must keep investing in these facilities so families can count on quality care close to home when they need it most.

We should start now with the FRONTIER Act, which would place serious, durable guardrails on the most powerful AI systems. We should pair it with a liability regime like my CLAIM Act that compels companies to prioritize safety and gives those who are harmed a path to recourse.

This is the new reality of cybersecurity in the age of AI. Advanced AI systems can now uncover serious vulnerabilities in the code that underpins the internet. That capability can strengthen our defenses, but it can just as easily be turned against us.   Congress is running out of time to act.

After an 11.5% increase in 2026, premiums are set to rise almost 11% in 2027. All while families are already struggling with the cost of groceries, gas, rent and heating. The bills keep piling up, costs keep climbing, and families are being forced to pick up the tab.

Next week, women in Greater Lowell will have a safe place when they feel unsafe. Yesterday I joined Community Teamwork and local leaders to cut the ribbon on their new women’s shelter. It has 46 beds, and up to 56 in the winter.

Most shelters for women in Massachusetts are in Boston. Now there’s one here thanks to $1 million in federal funding and a deep-rooted commitment from city leaders! Thank you to CTI, Tom Golden, and Carl Howell for making it happen.

Long before Congress, I was a Lowell kid with a summer job at the Lowell Plan and the LDFC. I watched bankers, business owners, city leaders and neighbors sit around one table and decide downtown Lowell was worth saving. This morning, we celebrated 50 years of that partnership.

When no single bank would take the risk on downtown, they took it together. Buildings that sat dark got their lights back. Boarded-up storefronts got family businesses behind the counter again.

Running a small business is hard enough without Washington piling on. Business owners deserve an economy that works with them, not one that keeps stacking the deck against them.

It was great to discuss the promise of our Gateway Cities, the future of AI safety and what it will take to keep our region at the forefront of innovation while creating good jobs and keeping our economy competitive.   Thanks for having me!

Today, our Lowell office was one of many congressional and election offices across the country that received a suspicious letter containing a potential threat. I’m grateful to the Lowell Fire Department, Lowell Police Department and FBI.

I won't pretend this is normal. It's deeply disappointing that threats like this have become part of our politics. The people who run our offices and our elections are public servants. They deserve to do their jobs without fear. Disagreement is healthy. Intimidation is not.

Today, our Lowell office was one of many congressional and election offices across the country that received a suspicious letter containing a potential threat. I’m grateful to the Lowell Fire Department, Lowell Police Department and FBI.

They responded quickly, investigated thoroughly, and made sure my team was safe. That’s what our first responders do for our community every single day. My staff is safe, and our office continues to provide services to Third District residents in need of assistance.

Americans are paying for a war they never signed up for. Donald Trump’s war in Iran is driving up the cost of gas, groceries and utilities, with families in #MA3 paying more than $6,000 extra just to make ends meet.

Yesterday morning, Billerica High students stood on a field before sunrise while police swept their school for a bomb. Yesterday afternoon in Bend, Oregon, a teenager with a gun killed three children and a teacher at an elementary school.

We keep saying “never again.” Then we send our kids to school and our families to worship and hope for the best. Our kids deserve to grow up without fear. Parents deserve to know their children are coming home. That shouldn’t be too much to ask.
