Evil rarely recognizes itself as such, and this guy is no exception.

So as I headed to Ingram for the first time in March, I wanted to know who the local faces of the national immigration crackdown were. Who was driving the black Dodge Charger? www.propublica.org/article/depo...

Well, my grandfather the bootlegger would have loved this, which is how I know it's a terrible idea, because fuck that guy. Folks can barely FUNCTION anymore, and these yahoos want them making their own booze??

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court agrees to review Reconstruction-era ban on distilling spirits in private homes.

Meanwhile, current "wisdom" is that authors and other media creators must repeatedly and persistently spell out EVERYTHING because readers and viewers can't or won't or just don't pay enough attention anymore to draw their own conclusions. Which--I'm gonna be real--pisses me off.

Are you kidding me? So, how is this different than beginner writers, or even seasoned writers who have hit on a formula that works? This sounds to me like a slew of Richard Paul Evans books. (no offense, just not my thing) Read the paper here: arxiv.org/pdf/2604.03136

Just go do whatever it is you really want to be doing. Or, barring that, acknowledge that any deficiencies you identify might just be that you were checked out, man. I semi-watch a lot of Twitch streams while playing my own games. If I miss something, it's nothing the streamer did or did not do.

NEW: Epic Games has delayed its upcoming (not yet announced) Star Wars + Marvel shooter as it pivots to complete AI game development. "No more hand-written code," a director told staff. All art "generated with full AI workflows." Full scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

This is honestly why Bree and I decided to embrace Resurrect Your Gays as a Kit Rocha trope.

she said "you can do anything in fiction as long as the situation afterwards is more interesting that the situation before." since then i have been keeping an eye on character death in fiction. many writers seem to think that character death "raises the stakes" but actually just makes things boring

I've prepared for high winds as much as I can with everything outside. I've gathered drinking water, snacks, freeze dried meals, kettle, and our butane camp stove. Got my power station charged, and USB fans and lights at hand. We're pretty set for the storm.

In case you missed it last night: we are seeing reports all over the country of immigration surges and state violence. If you need whistles for your community, we will send you 100-3000 3d printed for free, and we will love doing it. 3dwhistles.com

i especially love all the dopes saying “when the internet first went mainstream everyone hated it too” like it happened in the pioneer days so no one can dispute it, like mf’ers we were THERE

I'm a writer who dropped out of nursing school. My husband is an auto mechanic. We urged both of our kids to go to college, because if either of them decides they want to learn a trade, they can still do that with a BA or BS. Also, you know. Critical thinking skills are important.

This post is unavailable.

"But wait! Are you saying you have to go to college to learn how to think critically?" No. I don't think you have to go there to learn, full stop. I learn stuff every day, because I crave that. So do they. But it never hurts to be exposed to many different subjects by experts in their fields!
