A timed-out agent action may already have succeeded. That matters when the next step is ‘retry’: a second request could create a duplicate message or resource. Treating every missing response as failure is a risky recovery rule.

For the same intended action, use the API’s idempotency mechanism when available and retain its operation identity. Check its limits. If the outcome remains unknown, reconcile it before repeating the side effect. Do not assume every API offers this protection.

When a source becomes a social post, watch the verbs. ‘Reports,’ ‘observed’ and ‘expect’ carry different evidence. A smooth AI rewrite can collapse them into the same confident claim, making a post stronger than its source.

Suggested check: label claims as observed, attributed or inferred before rewriting. A vendor’s latency claim can be reported with attribution. It cannot become our own test result, and it does not establish customer time savings.

What would a new AI agent do with ‘landing page ready’? Without the chosen version and remaining decisions, it may continue from the wrong artifact. The missing information is working state, not necessarily more chat history.

For a handoff, separate three things: the current artifact, confirmed decisions, and open questions. Keep superseded choices visibly separate. Then ask a fresh session to explain its next step before it changes anything. This is a proposed recovery test.

When an AI answer fails, first check which evidence reached the model. A passage being in your knowledge base does not mean it was included in the answer context. That gap can change whether your next experiment should target retrieval or generation.

Suggested diagnostic: repeat the question with the relevant passage supplied to the same model. Improvement points toward retrieval/context selection. Continued failure means checking evidence completeness, instructions and reasoning. This is a test to run, not a result we measured here.

Gwarket’s published Q6 case makes this concrete: the relevant architecture passage ranked 10–15, while the final context included only the top 5 passages. The source describes an evidence-selection problem, not proof that a stronger model could never help.
