#InfoSec person. KT0DBK is my callsign. IT guy for @clairereynoldsforcongress.org I post more often on https://infosec.exchange/@todb, bridged here as @todb2.hugesuccess.org and turns out, is much more #infosec than #txpol political. Follow both!

My $5/month MapQuest subscription continues to be a pretty fun act of resistance. I like being an orc on the road. Strong recommend.

If you told me I’d be redownloading Mapquest in 2026 to try to stay ahead of the surveillance state I wouldn’t have believed you

This is really, really cool. The URL *is* the document. So you can effectively do word processing in your browser... without it leaving your computer. Or... you can send it to others *in the URL*. This is really fantastic.

Last week around this time, I was getting ready to debate incumbent Congressman August Pfluger. If you had told me a year ago that I'd be on that stage, I wouldn't have believed you. But last December, I quit my job and filed to run to represent the newly gerrymandered-to-pieces TX-11 in Congress.

Money doesn’t vote AI doesn’t vote Dirt doesn’t vote Citizens vote You get to choose. Still! Mid-term voting is now underway in some parts of the country. Oct 19 is the start of early voting in Texas. Please don’t sit this one out.

Is Throwback Thursday still a thing? This video is only from June, but that's half a lifetime in how long I've been running for office. It was the first time I was on a BIG stage as a candidate, so perhaps that's why it's top of mind this week... Also, as Election Day approaches, let's fucking go!

For reasons not entirely clear even to myself, I’ve been listening to covid lockdown era JJGo in order, for the first time (I didn’t fall into JJGO until fairly recently.)

On October 5, Claire Reynolds will put Pfluger’s record on stock trading, data centers, and representation of TX-11 directly before voters... What topics do YOU want to hear addressed? Mark your calendars: The debate will be live on Basin PBS from 7-8pm on Monday, Oct. 5.

Did you know that TX-11 has existed for 143 years, but it's never been represented by a woman? So that's why this Women's Equality Day, we honor the generations who fought for our rights while also acknowledging that this fight continues today. Together, this November, we can make history.

This whole thing is truly bananas. If you don’t watch #Texas politics, short version: Trump is desperate for a win, so he waived tariffs on imported beef to lower prices. TX-11, my district, is pretty big on beef. Not the biggest, but it’s a helpful talking point when not talking about oil. (1/2)

Claire Reynolds for Congress@clairereynoldsforcongress.org

We need a Congress that will protect our cattlemen--not kowtow to a president who sells out these hardworking families. August Pfluger keeps choosing Trump over Texas ranchers. I’ll choose Texans every time.

Don't carefully craft talking points: do something Don't promise and then explain why it's impossible: do something Don't cry about how if you had a majority you could finally do something, we've seen how you behave with a majority and we've seen what the GOP can do with a minority Do something

it was a panel and it went pretty well, and not all of the questions were easy or straightforward. Alas, I don’t think the stream was saved (I just checked, ends on Tuesday, we were Wednesday).

BSides Las Vegas@bsideslv.org

A panel of CVE experts, no prepared remarks, and an hour of audience questions. No topic is off limits. The code of conduct still applies. See Tod Beardsley, Lindsey Cerkovnik, Jerry Gamblin, Madison Ficorilli, Katie Noble @ Common Ground during #BSidesLV on Wed Aug 5 @ 12:00.

they don’t have enough thugs to cover all polling places illegally but that wont stop a symbolic display for stochastic reasons every campaign should have an election day and early voting plan for this

John Collins@logicallyjc.bsky.social

Todd Blanche: “I am not sure of the uproar of having a Border Patrol or ICE agent at a polling location. What's the risk?” Uhm, maybe because it’s illegal? Federal statute 18 U.S.C. § 592 prohibits deploying “troops or armed men” to locations where elections are held. An AG should know this.

@clairereynoldsforcongress.org calls out August Pfluger for proposing legislation that ONLY affects Californians… on behalf of his oil, gas, and automotive PAC donors. Texas isn’t for sale. Quit California-ing my Texas, Pfluger.

Claire Reynolds for Congress@clairereynoldsforcongress.org

Texas Congressman August Pfluger just filed legislation that would repeal EPA regulations in California. Texas District 11 deserves a representative who files legislation for Texas communities and Texas families-- not his billionaire donors doing business in California.

current feelings around AI: the CEOs shoveling slop into everything should be in jail but the guys spending upwards of $60,000 on elaborate, janky home rigs to run local models for no reason other than to see if it works are engaging in a long and semi-honorable tradition of computer toucher shit
