With all the speculation about Starcraft this BlizzCon I'm so happy that I'll been in attendance. It's been too long! If you see me around come and say hi. I always enjoy speaking with fellow StarCraft and Warcraft fans.

I am sharing, with immense pride, that as of today I’m Canadian! From day 1 when I immigrated here I’ve been embraced with the incredible warmth and kindness that I soon associated with my new home. And for that I’m grateful.

I’m deeply proud to be part of a country that knows it can always do better. A country where kindness, consideration, and respect for one another are our most treasured values. Today I was sworn in with 108 people from 39 different countries, how awesome is that?

In our current times it feels particularly meaningful to have become a citizen of this lovely country. I’m excited to continue my life as a citizen, contribute to my community, and share my own culture and experience with my awesome diverse nation.

A Reddit thread worthy level of uncleanliness on a SBB train to the Swiss.

They are doing something very important: put serious money behind clean indoor air. That is very good news and there is a high likelyhood this will result in advancements to this neglected field, but I think they could have an even bigger impact with some changes So I wrote a short Essay on it:

We treat respiratory infections like the cold and flu as minor nuisances. The evidence increasingly suggests they’re anything but. I'm excited to be an advisor for Intercept, a $500M bet to make them a thing of the past. interceptfund.substack.com/p/e9438538-4...

I just brought our daughter a snack while she’s playing MineCraft. She showed me her settings and just casually told me her FOV is maxed out a„Quake Pro“ Setting. She had no idea why it was called that so had to give her a little video game history… The ancient lore must be preserved.

I no longer need to be reminded please. Spring would be nice sometime.

Mother Nature reminding us that Canada is Canada, eh?

I'll be charging American ladder opponents a 25% MMR tariff effective immediately.

Am I East German? No, I’m South Leipziger. It’s not much but I’m glad we’re still holding strong as a bulwark in the east…

Never felt a stronger Canadian and European identity at the same time. Funny how that goes.

First ever stage match for our new Dota squad. Great energy in Bangkok. Will be a joy to watch them play on the big screen!

Can’t wait for #ESLOne Bangkok to kick off on Monday! It’s the first time our new squad is playing a LAN tournament together. Really looking forward to meeting the local dota fans! Bangkok is very cool, hopefully I’ll have some time to do some exploring.

I am pro Canada becoming the 51st state but only if all regulations regarding French is applied to the entire the country. The reaction over bilingual packaging alone would be a sight to behold.

Seeing the Thessaloniki Metro is definitely a new one on the bucket list. Two of my favourite things combined, riding a train and history. What a cool transit system. apnews.com/article/gree...

On Twitter, I’m suddenly being served incredibly one sided German political content even though until now, in 12 years of using Twitter, German content was more or less invisible to me. This bullshit won’t stop, this machine will be aimed at all democratic elections and the EU will be a huge target

One of the things I’ve grown to miss the most from Germany is our noise laws. People using leaf blowers on a Sunday are a menace and I’d be a single issue voter for any party, no matter how totalitarian, running on banning those monstrosities. Give me my Sonntagsruhe.

Living in the north rocks, because every day for four months a year, you can connect with your fellow men by saying ''can you believe it's dark so early already?'' and it never gets old cause it's so true.

About to spend a couple hours playing WoW hardcore and inevitably lose my character. It's a gamer's sand mandala and I think that's beautiful.
