They all get along so good now. Hushpuppy took awhile to learn how to play with Ollie (she's a furry wrecking ball and he's the size of a flea lol) but now that they understand each other watching them tussle is sosooo cute 😭

Finally broke today and went to buy a generator. Buy the thing, have this 200lb behemoth loaded in the back of the car and am on my way home when Charmsey calls to say the power is back on 😂 Truly couldn't have happened any other way.

We may be hot and miserable and in the dark still but Hushpuppy is having the time of her life. She got so much hose time today, a shower, ball, walks...doesn't get any better than that when you're a dog.

Lots of trees and fences down, roads blocked and some siding tore off here and there but all told it looks like most houses faired alright. I keep trying to attach photos but the towers must be damaged cause mobile data is crawling 😭

So we have a small fire going in our patio fire pit to roast some weenies while the powers out and the neighbor has the audacity to lean over the broken fence and tell us there's a burn ban: "think about all the tinder laying around" Like bro....we just had a torrential downpour...it is so fine

Man we got absolutely pummeled by a wind gusts of 115mph for like 2 hours when isaias first came ashore. Neighbors lost their carport entirely and several sections of our fence are down, but I really thought we were gonna lose some windows for sure (if not more) so I guess I'm pretty happy 🤪

This dog can play fetch for 1hr+ in the middle of a hot summer day in florida no less...idk how she does it. I'm extremely paranoid she's going to overheat one day cause- duh, frenchie -but here she is, the most athletic and unstoppable dog I've ever met insisting on her daily fetch sesh 😵‍💫
