The political media is visibly chafing at the current situation, where Republicans are glaringly awful, fucking everything up, running deviant candidates everyone hates, and Dems are just being normal & winning. The force is out of balance. They are viscerally eager to go after Dems about something.

Funnily enough caring about moral victories more than winning is the true liberal attitude. Anyway

I’m furious because we have had to spend so many goddamn hours responding thoroughly to endless procedural inquiries from the damn NPC and they just decide to ignore and move the goalposts like always because it’s not about a real commitment to BDS or convention, it’s a petty revenge fantasy

I believe any other politician would have had breathless coverage like "Trump defends Cornell 7 from gang rape allegations"

Marisa Kabas@marisakabas.bsky.social

A serial rapist was elected twice as President, a fact we don't reckon with nearly enough. Now one of two major political parties has been molded in his image, run for and by violent sexual abusers who hate women.

I believe DSA is good and worth fighting for and I encourage you to join as a member so we can kick some annoying people out of leadership next summer

Idk if I'm DSA LA and/or Nithya I'm just claiming we got a little busy. A lot going on with one week left to election day and GOTV and whatnot

Uber driver in South Carolina asked me my thoughts on Mamdani and then I asked him who he liked for US Senate and he said he didn't know who was running and I lowkey made fun of him and he said he didn't follow politics - even tho he's the one that brought up the mayor of a city he doesn't live in 😭

Also, I'd love to know how two different stories -- each written by three reporters, with no overlap in the authors -- managed to find Jolene Riessen and make her the stand-in for apolitical Iowa farmers.

After more than 6,200 (!!) ballots were cast, SMC emerges with 153 of 437 delegate seats at NYC-DSA City Convention 2026! Thank you to EVERYONE who chipped in, reached out, and made this incredible effort possible.

I love seeing neurotic/engagement farming fitness discussion from people with unimpressive physiques or stats. A bunch of six figure PMCs arguing about low volume vs three sets and citing pubmed papers. Just go lift lol

Go run as fast as you can. Go run a long distance. Do 100 burpees as fast as you can. It's not complicated

NYC-DSA convention delegate results: SMC - 153 (35%) W2W - 129 (30%) GW - 114 (26%) BR - 12 (3%) Independent - 28 (6%) Over 6200 members voted for a turnout of 34%. I am excited to to attend convention as a delegate. Thank you to anyone who voted for me, SMC, or joined DSA!

Using my first bluesky post ever to say that if you follow me on here and you’re a member of NYC-DSA — or eligible to become one! — and you haven’t voted for convention delegates, please vote for the @socialistmajority.com slate! Everyone thought Lula was cooked, hopeless. Then he bought a phone and started posting and now he's gonna get a 4th term. The lesson is to never stop posting.

Today is the last day to vote for NYC DSA chapter convention delegates. I am running in the North Brooklyn branch. I am a labor, tenant, and electoral organizer, former wildland firefighter and ecologist, and believe in a democratic road to socialism and a popular front against fascism.

Beast

I once inherited a python system that handled about $100m in ARR. It was a single Django class that was 25k lines long and had zero tests or docs that always called out to MySQL and postgres via fork+exec rather than actually using those client libraries

The first time I was a delegate to NYC-DSA convention was 2022. It's the very heart of DSA's democracy. And this year, I’m voting for the Socialist Majority slate. Vote by Sunday night: vote.socialistmajority.com/nyc

Voting for NYC-DSA Convention delegates is open! 🗳️ Check your inbox and vote for the SMC slate to grow our movement, defeat fascism, and deliver for the working class. Let's run AOC for president, elect another socialist slate in 2028, build the labor and youth movements, and demystify DSA.

Early Voting in NYC starts today. I can't wait to cast my vote for Andrew Cuomo!

One fun thing about nearing 40 is that I've discovered the joys of NPCism. Sometimes I'm walking around and realize I'm thinking I'm the protagonist, and then I just turn on "Asian Uncle" mode and it's like I pressed the Active Camo button. People just literally let me walk in wherever I want.

Aida Chavez (previously affiliated with a slew of populist left outlets and Just FP, a pro-russia appeasement org) had her CIA contractor boyfriend leak classified secrets for her to publish in her failing Substack. Espionage for internet clout is kinda new?
