I like how ESPN makes it sound like the Eagles have had just “recent” postseason success compared to the Cowboys. Since 1990 it was them for the first EIGHT YEARS and then us for the next TWENTY-EIGHT.

Whoa whoa you can run the ball, force the other team to use their timeouts, get the clock to 1 second and kick a field goal to win as time expires, giving the other team no chance to respond? What?!

I also once was obsessed with this show. Sorkin’s world building is incredible, it’s his biggest strength. But I recently rewatched the pilot and man it’s reaching for a WHOLE LOT when it’s just about uh a late-night comedy show.

Aaron Sorkin's infamous Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted 20 years ago this fall. I talked with a group of contemporary comedy writers about why the show didn't work, but also why they're still obsessed with it:

We need to put the “Jalen Hurts is bad” people to bed. They are driven mostly by one thing, and we know what it is. The guy shows up, is a top-10 QB and lives and dies with his coaches’ napoleon complexes.

I wrote about it today and got a statement from Austin FC. Surprised it wasn’t covered that strongly. www.chron.com/sports/artic...

National soccer media needs to do a better job covering what’s going on in Austin. Entire fan section walks out mid match and it’s absolute crickets out-there. If you’re covering the match and focusing on Nashville’s win or Austin’s loss you are not doing your job.
