Takashi Miike talking about VISITOR Q (2001). There’s a subsection of film fandom that really really needs to try and internalize this mode of creation/understanding.

At long last, we have created a way for you to take away Nikki's free will, from the classic horror movie "don't take away Nikki's free will"

This is my son Muppet. He’s 2.5 years old and he’s the light of my life. Sadly, he got really sick this weekend and this morning went to the vet where he was triaged and diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Up until a couple years ago, FIP was a death sentence for cats.

FFVII Revelation and KH4 probably gonna be the last two PlayStation games I ever get if Sony doesn’t knock their horseshit off.

PlayStation 6’s memory costs alone exceed $680 per console, it’s claimed, potentially suggesting an unprecedented price tag for the next-gen machine. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/playsta...

You Can See Everything (2026)

People who respond to full-frontal male nudity in movies with something like "ummm was the penis necessary? why was there penis?" crack me up. The penis was crucial to the plot. You didn't get it.

It’s actually so funny how when that shot first pops up it does seem really out of left field and unnecessary, but as the movie goes on and you learn more about what’s going on you realize “Oh it actually makes perfect sense for that shot to be in the movie.”

I cannot believe that this movie exists. There is no way for me to describe what watching You Can See Everything felt like that won't sound preposterously hyperbolic. I need all of you to see this movie right now so that you can answer this one question: "Do you understand why that was funny?"

Speaking as someone who knew nothing about Elizabeth Holmes until like a month ago, You Can See Everything might be one of the most fascinating films I’ve ever seen. Holy fucking shit.

One metal magazine of the 90s actually coined the phrase "Hetfield Effect" to describe the tendency of rockers to switch from "anti-war / anti-establishment" to "patriotic / conservative" pretty much the second they passed draft age

Hosted today’s Matinee, where we discussed one of David Lynch’s greatest films!

WATCH NOW!: youtu.be/a_8F73Y-8yE Audio version: linktr.ee/bombsquadpro... On the 131st episode of Bomb Squad Matinee, Tim, Tanner, Cody, and Austin discuss David Lynch's 1986 classic Blue Velvet.

Childhood is seeing Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask and thinking the titular mask is the scariest thing you’ve ever seen. Adulthood is realizing that the bust of Carly Beth’s head is actually much creepier.

Probably the coolest thing he's done next to being a potential Bomberman fan

I have not watched the Carrie show but Jesus Christ everything I hear about it just makes it sound embarrassingly sauceless. Just watch the fucking DePalma movie again instead.

Terrible thing when you read a Fist of the North Star title and the thought that emerges in you is "Mood"

Watched the first two episodes of Get Jiro and boy oh boy this show is fine. Okay, even. I think if this came out when I was like 15 years younger I might be more enthusiastic about it, but I just don’t think I can get invested.

Something about this particular flavor of “adult action cartoon” always keeps me at arms length. Probably why I haven’t watched past season 1 of Invincible despite my coworkers telling me “Dude you gotta watch it it’s so good dude.”

Latter half of the OG Dexter. Loved seasons 1, 2, and 4. Season 3 was kinda mid but it was still riding off the good will of those first two. Post-S4 just gradually declined until becoming a complete train wreck by S8. Haven’t watched the spinoffs, don’t really plan to.

What TV show got so bad it effectively destroyed your appreciation for the show when it was was good?

I could also probably name a lot of sitcoms I watched in high school like The Office or How I Met Your Mother, but I think I mostly just liked the early seasons of those because I was young when I watched them.
