Four of my books were banned at the Naval Academy but Mein Kampf and the Bell Curve are still there. So just to review: racism is ok. Antiracism is not. This is the entire history of America.

The white left often assumes we can fight racism by appealing to white workers’ material interests and how these are harmed by racial division, but this ignores how whiteness functions. This naïveté is a constant Achilles heel for cross-racial movements timjacobwise.substack.com/p/racists-ar...

timjacobwise.substack.comRacists Aren’t Irrational (and That’s the Problem)The white left misses how whiteness functions as a property interest. Until they understand how to challenge this, they will fail to build real working-class solidarity

This is the symbol of the Jewish Labor Bund: the universalist, socialist group my great-grandfather supported, the vision of which was always more liberatory than Zionism and which we need to recapture now as an alternative to this death cult timjacobwise.substack.com/p/breaking-f...

timjacobwise.substack.comBreaking Free from the Cult of ZionismPerpetual victimhood narratives have given rise to this unhealthy, destructive, and frankly self-hating ideology. We need to commit to universalism again.

"The attack came despite US intelligence assessments that Iran was unlikely to pose an immediate threat to the US mainland within the next decade." So why do it? "A weeks-long lobbying effort by Israel and Saudi Arabia..." Ah. Not just weak, but cheap, too. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

washingtonpost.comPush from Saudis, Israel helped move Trump to attack IranPresident Trump launched a wide-ranging attack on Iran after weeks-long lobbying by an unusual pair of U.S. allies in the Middle East: Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Putting aside legality or propriety or morality, MAGA folks bragging about the unqualified success of the attack on Iran tweet as if history is a 24 hr news cycle. As if nothing could possibly go wrong afterward. Iraq and Afghanistan would like a word. As would 1953 Iran

1/ I'm not here for anyone's hot takes about how Rev. Jackson was a "sellout" bc he worked within the admittedly limited framework of the Democratic Party, or whatever the fuck "more radical than thou" bullshit certain among the more vulgar leftists have to offer, and which, I've heard today...

4/ to the last time I saw him--at the 50th anniversary of Dr. King's death at the site of the assassination--he was always a source of strength and inspiration...

5/ And if your contempt for anything remotely "mainstream" prevents you from understanding his value and celebrating it in this moment, you are indecent. Irrelevant. And you should be, and most assuredly will be, forgotten.

2/ Shut up. Disappear. Forever. You haven't done 1/10th as much or faced 1/100th as much hate as he did, in order to make this country better. If that's the best you can offer at the moment, you are a waste of carbon, and the wrong person passed today...

3/ I didn't know Rev. Jackson well. But he was always kind and supportive of those of us trying to figure it out and make a difference. From his endorsement of our anti-apartheid activism at Tulane in 1990 to his kind words to me personally in the early 2000s when we were on the Donahue show...

It’s amazing how easy it is to NOT end up in the Epstein files. 1. Don’t be a rich, entitled asshole. 2. Don’t appreciate the company of rich, entitled assholes 3. That’s it. That will ensure you’re not wrapped up with the pedo ring of a rich, entitled asshole.

The Epstein Files show what happens when misogyny and patriarchy go unchallenged. Men abusing girls because power allows it. If you want to stop this abuse, smash those two things

MAGA insists people should fear Black folks, brown skinned immigrants, gay men, and trans folks… and yet, none of these are in the Epstein files. Just a lot of rich, straight, cis white dudes. So who are the real predators?

When Black folks disrupt white folks’ places of worship they do it peacefully. When white folks disrupt places of worship they murder people. Birmingham, Charleston, Pittsburgh, etc. Seems like a pretty important difference

So, apparently Google is too afraid to make their MLK Day Doodle about anything connected to KIng's actual life or work...instead they made it about marching bands...awesome

Conservative media are promoting a GiveSendGo fundraiser for the ICE agent who killed Renee Good. The page includes the following statement from the organizer: "But this didn't happen in a vacuum—it's the direct result of anti-American traitors like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (who is Jewish)"

Progressives who mock Stephen Miller bc he "apparently doesn't know" Dean Martin & Sinatra were children of immigrants are embarrassing. He knows. He doesn't care. He's not anti-immigrant, y'all. He's a white supremacist. Italians are fine bc they're European. He hates black & brown people. Period.

Oh wait so ya mean it wasn’t bc of DEI? Hmmm imagine that

Imagine Pam Bondi’s DOJ just secured a 30 yr sentence against a Muslim or left wing terrorist. Do ya think they’d be shouting it from the rooftops? So why aren’t they doing that today after securing that sentence against a Neo-Nazi terrorist leader? You know why. We all do.

They knew the optics of dismissing were bad and thankfully the amazing and dedicated DOJ lawyers on the case were steadfast. Bondi couldn’t care less about white racist terrorists

The DOJ today secured a 30 yr sentence against one of the leaders of the neo-Nazi Terrorgram collective. They plotted murder and bombings (I was one of their targets). You’d think they’d be proud. But no. Because racist violence from the right doesn’t matter to them.

It’s unfair to analogize Trump supporters to supporters of Jim Jones. At least Jones’s followers knew when it was Kool-Aid time. Not advocating it. Just noting the substantial difference in commitment to one’s cause

Irony: if Charlie Kirk had been speaking in Chicago, L.A., etc., they'd have swept the rooftops and had tighter security. But Utah? Nah...So, the myth of white innocence, which he believed in, got him killed. Fascinating. My latest piece explores this, below... timjwise.medium.com/the-myth-of-...

timjwise.medium.comThe Myth of White Innocence Got Charlie Kirk KilledIf he’d been speaking in Chicago, Los Angeles, or anywhere with lots of people of color, they’d have checked the rooftops

And another one, offering a theory of the motive behind the killing of Charlie Kirk, which holds that it was only marginally political, and really based more on intense and almost entirely personal passions, disconnected from any larger political project. medium.com/@timjwise/th...

medium.comThere’s a Simpler Explanation Than Politics for the Killing of Charlie KirkAlthough everyone wants to blame the other side, the real reason may be more personal and frankly even more tragic than that

When will we learn that toppling other governments almost always makes things worse? Indeed, had we not overthrown the Iranian government in 1953 and installed a vicious dictator, we never would have ended up with the Mullahs we now insist we must topple. Pay attention.

Wow, look at this description of the mayhem in L.A. Man, sure am glad Trump sent in troops! (Oh wait, this isn't re: L.A...it's a description of the white boy riot to protest crackdowns on underage drinking at Washington State University in 1998. Never mind).

"Well, we are all going to die." Damn, y'all, I've heard some cruel and bizarre statements from politicians in my lifetime, but Sen. Joni Ernst saying this directly to her constituents during a town hall regarding concerns over cuts to Medicaid is an all-timer. Jesus.
