More casualties=bigger victory = stronger Russia It is as simple as this....

Will Russia start another war in Europe? High and growing oil prices were factor in 2022 and might be a factor now. Maybe somebody should message to China - if Russia escalates, oil deliveries to China might be in danger.

Does Russia fit definition of fascism (by AI): Fascism is a far-right ideology based on the following core elements: - Extreme nationalism - Dictator power - Suppression of democracy and individual freedom - Total state control over society and media - Militarism, violence and scapegoating

So there is no mutual agreement between Ukraine and Russia. But parties were contacted by USA, Zelensky agreed, and Russia .... maybe, but never trust Russians... I do not believe the truce will survive beyond Russian elections September 20-th, if there will be any truce at all

President Trump: "Ukraine has agreed not to hit Russian Energy targets. Russia has agreed to do, likewise! The World's Diesel price rise is mostly caused by the Russia/Ukraine War, not Iran."

BRICS strongly anti-imperialistic in their declarations but their leading members doing the opposite. Russia - last imperium in Europe, leading expansionist war just now And China reviving its imperial past bullying their neighbors. Qing dynasty (1644โ€“1912) AKA Chinese empire on the map from 1840

Putin said all issues were settled after WWII. So he indirectly hints that we should return to those 'settlement' - sphere of influences as they were defined at Yalta conference etc.

Leningrad, Stalingrad, Kaliningrad - first two were renamed back, the third should be too. Actually we do not need Russian approval to refer to it as Kรถnigsberg Mikhail Ivanovich Kalinin:

Russia does not need their neighbors to love them. They want to be feared. It was said many times and publicly. They might be Europeans but their thinking is not Western. They even boast that they are 'special civilization'

I understand the demands, and Ukrainian civil society keeps amazing me by it's democratic vigor. However, from what I understood, Fedorov declined all appointements proposed by Zel. He could not reinstate him as DefMin, because Ukr needs equilibriumwith DefMin and army command on the same boat.

Let's have a laugh... A Russian couple has been waiting in line at a gas station for hours; the guy says, "I've really had enoughโ€”I'm going to go kill Putin!" When he comes back, his wife asks, "So, how did it go?" The guy replies, "I came back; the line to kill Putin is even longer than this one."

Did you know that it were Anglo-French aggressors who instigated the WWII fighting Nazis and who had no desire to stop it? October 1939, Defense Commissar Voroshilov

Interesting insight how did Soviets perceive WWII before the Barbarossa started. I am posting a screenshot from YouTube video, I failed to find full text of this order No. 191 from May 1st, 1941 online.

Example of Russian cartoon. What fascinates me are the proportions of the bear and Ukraine (Zelensky). No sanity check. Target audience is obvious...

Russian census of 1897 provides some interesting insights. See nationality composition based on declared first language: Russian 52.4% Jewish 14.8% Polish 8.6% Ukrainian 7.4% Polish 8.6% Belarusian 1.0% How does this map based on the census compare to current (pre-2014) Ukraine territory?
