31 Days of Horror (NOFS) Day 27: Best of the ‘20s (so far) ~ LONGLEGS ~ My personal favorite of the past few years; an analog occult thriller that went pretty unloved in the theaters despite it being absolutely unnerving and artistic while Nic Cage kills families without ever entering their home.

And it only came out in 2024, the director Osgood Perkins is making over a movie a year now, his style especially in this one is very very unique, that said it’s also very disturbing to watch, and heavily influenced by the silence of the lambs (just a modern version of it really)

READ THIS YEAR Book 66: Flamer This YA/teen graphic novel is one of the most banned and challenged books in the United States since it was released in 2020, up til right now, why erase a book about Boy Scouts? Because it follows a gay Christian teen struggling with bullying, anger, and self-love.

It’s no wonder a parent who refuses to believe any of it exists and supports it, wouldn’t want a kid who feels alone to be moved by a book that they could understand could even that’ll get them to read more, how scary. It tackles taboo subjects but sometimes that’s exactly what we all need.

Hopefully I’ll have enough disposable income for GTA VI but man, $80 for a case, even for a rockstar game is a hard choice in this point in time Big thing is I really been waiting so long for Control 2, 007 First Light, Lego Batman, Wolverine, and I haven’t been able to get any of them this year :/

Genuinely got to be so many people who unfortunately can’t afford their hobbies either this year, like it’s a silly problem, but I think it’s harsh to make prices HIGHER when they know they’ll easily make it back and a lot more I know it’s worth it because of how big RDR2 was but it’s still too much

I have nothing against gambling responsibly, lottery tickets fund food programs and roads being fixed, casinos give people a good night out, boosting the economy as well. But I will NEVER use Kalshi, or any other polymarket scam that bets on elections, the news, and doesn’t give it back to anyone.

Say what you will about how corrupt the gambling and Wall Street and lottery industries really are, but at least that money is going somewhere. Kalshi, and every other polymarket app take all the leftovers, legalizing preying on every state. And only more are turning to it for a way to get cash.

Though I like the new movies more, especially chapter 1, this has some great pre-CGI effects, rainy scenery, and ofc Tim Curry so it’s got its charms RIP
