The Three Leonards

The great thing about social media is that people can randomly (re)discover you. So you always get a chance to make a first impression on someone new. If that someone is you: hello! Maybe you like music. Maybe you like this music? We made it.

Here's a link to our new single "Man of Colours" on Spotify. Please listen and share and add to playlists and social events and warm summer evenings and all that good stuff.

Hello again Bluesky! We are proud to share our new single, "Man of Colours", featuring the hauntingly beautiful voice of our friend Cin Rule. Please listen and share! This one has been a long time coming.

Hello beautiful people. There is new Three Leonards music to be heard. I will post links shortly for you, because we want you to be happy. Love, #3LEN

It's BandCamp Friday, folks! We have just the one song for purchase. At some point we will make back the money we spent on properly licensing it for sale :)

It's odd to keep promoting the same song when we have dozens, but we only have the one on BandCamp. YOU CAN BUY IT :) and of course you should listen to it first. it's only fair. #musicsky #musicianSky #jazzsky #musiccommunity #musicfeed #NowPlaying #indie #indiemusic #bedroommusic 🎧🎵🎸❤️ #3LEN

Finally back from a whirlwind European tour! which was entirely just in France and actually just the one part and just the one of us (me) and wherein I wasn't there specifically to perform music BUT I actually DID play some music a few times and people DID love the music I played. aah, success.

in the "fish or cut bait" category, I have to decide whether to focus on making new music or focus on the wild wild world of promotion. The Grind. The Schmooze. Posting music-adjacent media. Making videos. Espousing knowledge. Looking dapper. Dancing?? Goodness me, what is a man to do?

The final song from our third album releases this weekend! (While I'm away on vacation!) I'm planning a very special in-person celebration, because why not. It's not often that all three of us are in the same place. We're very proud of how this album turned out. Much love to our supporters.

I'm not sure that this is the best place to ask this but: has there ever been a consensus on what counts as Jazz and what doesn't? Is there a litmus test of some kind? We aim for a vibe similar to the production on mid-1980's Leonard Cohen albums. I hope that's jazzy enough for most of you.

social media is challenging because other people take aspects of music far more or far less seriously than you do. Those aspects being: -collecting media (physical or digital) -consuming media -concerts -bragging about the above feels like engaging with these topics could get disastrous

I keep seeing posts from supposedly indecisive people which are really just thinly disguised engagement drivers. "Which vinyl should I buy?" "Which boardgame should I play?" Hon, if you really can't make your own decisions as an adult, maybe asking a bunch of total strangers is also not the answer

Good Monday morning Bluesky. May this be a pleasant reminder that we are all Real Human Worm Babies and not a genAI nightmare product. We also have thoughts and feelings and at least one of us likes to play board games. We hope you all have a great week. Stay strong. Fight arseholeism.

Hello my lovelies! Please enjoy our cover of (I Could Never Be) Your Woman. It's very fun! Even the guy who wrote it approved of this (I was as shocked as you are, I promise) Please share, enjoy, and #resist #fascism www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW7J... #3LEN

Wishing everyone well on this "alright, what on earth have they gotten up to THIS time..." kind of day

Remember folks, instead of putting reverb on every track, try putting ALL the reverb on the vocals and the guitars. Mmm, dreamy.

Have you ever heard a pop song and thought: "Well this is quite nice, but what would it sound like if it was played by a group of chamber musicians and had a slammin' harpsichord solo in the middle?" I know I have. Hey look, it's Thursday! New song comes out tomorrow! #indie #modern #classical

New song comes out next week! Meanwhile, to celebrate the weekend (and I know we all have a reason or two to celebrate right now) here's our cover of the classic jazz standard: TOXIC #musicsky #jazzsky #musiccommunity #musicfeed #NowPlaying #indie #indiemusic #cover #pop #jazz #bedroommusic #3LEN

man, I just love when I rediscover an old track that's got absolutely the sweetest drum groove in it. Still, nothing comes close to Sweetest Taboo by #Sade because most music is made by mortals

Leave out the fiction The fact is; This friction Will only be worn by persistence Leave out conditions Courageous convictions Will drag the dream into existence - Vital Signs, #Rush They don't write 'em like that anymore.

This track is hauntingly beautiful. Also, the tone that pops up from time to time is the same as the alarm on my stove, so it keeps me on my toes.

OMG! How did I NOT know that the @threeleonards.bsky.social is on BlueSky! Well, the day is gonna be okay after all. #MusicIsLife
