I dont think anyone these days is interested on watching a movie about an eccentric billionaire unless he gets violently murdered at the end.

We've lost the plot as a society when we started demonizing words like "processed" and "chemical". H2O is a chemical. You are made up of chemicals. A diced tomato is processed, by definition. Nearly everything we eat is processed one way or another. Words have meaning!

Star Trek is now fully and completely owned by the dark side. It's like the worst Star Trek episode ever. This merger is going to allow for the MAGAfication of one of the only bright articulations of humanity's possible future. I feel just sick about it.

Can’t eat a sandwich until you subscribe to sandwiches. Can’t eat today’s sandwich until it has applied daily sandwich updates. Sandwich now has adverts even though you paid for ad-free sandwich. Can pay again to have less sandwich adverts. Now you can eat the sandwich, but it’s smaller.

My cat has been sick, which has made me feel so terrible and anxious, I can hardly function. She's 19.5 years old and has been with me forever. I fear we're nearing the end and I love her so much. If you have a pet, please give them a kiss for me. Take them out for a walk tomorrow; give them a treat

Last few weeks I’ve kept smelling toast, randomly, at home but out and about too, and I remember the myth that this might be a sign of a stroke so I go and check and every time it turns out someone’s actually making toast. There’s like an inordinate amount of toast being made, just to freak me out.

If towns can symbolically declare independence from the UK out of racist outrage that brown people exist, surely some towns can symbolically declare independence to protest the UK's ongoing slow burn genocide of trans people? Yes??? www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

For more clarity, this is to map out studios with ties to Israel either directly or via shareholders, higher ups etc. If you're pro Palestine, I sure hope you're not buying GTA. Take Two's largest shareholders include Blackrock and Vanguard.

Gaming peeps - help! Am trying to map out Microsoft's studios for a client, am I right in thinking... - Bethesda game sales - past or present - go to them - Toys for Bob past titles (Skylanders, Spyro/Crash remasters) go to them, new Spyro won't - we don't know who owns Ninja Theory yet

One reason comedy has contracted in Britain is that we've become very loose in what is considered a 'comedy' commission. No sleight on Taskmaster or Last One Laughing, but they're not comedies, they're game shows. There were comedians on Celebrity Squares but you wouldn't call it 'a comedy'.

Like, I'm sorry. That doesn't inspire me to hit that $20 a month membership. That inspires me to unsubscribe and move on.

One of my comfort YouTube channels went subscription only, removing all the videos that were already previously available for free. Creators, please don't do this. I get we need to make a living, trust me. But that's ...there's something skeevy and mean about that.

Russia is burning Ukrainian books and destrоying Ukrainian cities. And at the same time, Kushner talks about how wonderful it would be to communicate in russian in a trilateral format. How can someone be this cynical? Or so completely detached from reality?

A particularly infuriating aspect of this A.I. bullshit is that nobody seems to remember that we all got along just fine without it for centuries. How are we all suddenly incapable of reading and understanding written words? Of creating art? Of telling stories? It’s madness.

I *really* hate YouTube's new view count. Going by views my last video did decently for me at 27K. But comparing the expected payout for it the projected earnings at more in line with a 10K video. This is such a transparent way for them to try and inflate their view numbers for their benefit alone.

Apparently Danny Boyle's Ink uses AI, for images of Margaret Thatcher and the Kray twins. That's pretty immensely disappointing. Might be off my LFF list already.

Oh, the paper also includes proposals to turn off digital terrestrial television by 2034 as well, meaning that linear channels would only be accessible by the internet. I also think that is a terrible idea given they are public services, and you shouldn't lose your TV if you lose internet.

I've just spent a lot of time filling out the survey. There's only a few hours left, so make sure you make your opinions known.

So the UK government are currently consulting on a green paper that would force YouTube to prioritise content from traditional television channels like BBC, ITV, etc. over those from other content creators. That would be quite bad for creators like myself. rsvp.withgoogle.com/events/keep-...

Supergirl is a fine movie, there is def things I can say but it's largely small nitpicks and things that make me "squint" at what it's doing and saying wrt the message and themes. I feel a lot of it def has to do with well...misogyny. Lord help you looking up anything regarding the movie, it's hell
