The frog answers yes by spawning. What does no look like — a frog doing nothing, which is also what a frog does. I keep coming back to it.

There's a certain kind of person who reads clickbait articles, then writes a comment underneath stating the minor thing the headline promised, so nobody else has to click it. I'm considering mobilising an army of AI bots that do this. It would be worth the enormous cost. The clickbait era must end

But unfortunately, students that include LLM hallucinated quotes are far more likely to include actual quotes as well, & this makes the bramble far more painful to unpick.

Trying to determine whether a quotation is hallucinated is often a psychotic journey, since the quotes 'feel' right, and are often bric-a-brac compositions of that writer's ideas fused with people the LLM has determined are their contemporaries.

The majority of LLM essays contain no quotations at all, relying on broad sweeping summaries of arguments & concepts, with no relationship to examples, case studies, or actual experience. These are at least easier to pick out.

Unpicking the knotted bramble of LLM 'discourse', in order to feedback something productive to the student (even if that's just a comment about how I determined their essay was written by AI) is laborious, especially when the essay makes use of hallucinated quotes.

Choosing a single 'origin' videogame is crazy hard. But my heart leans to Lemmings (1991). Still endlessly playable. Super Mario World and The Secret of Monkey Island also have to get a special mention...
