My favourite kind of debate is where there's a known objectively correct answer and one side is just straight up factually false think 0.999... ≠ 1, flat earth, etc

Why is speed usually in km/h or mph, like why pick such massive units??? m/s seems so much more useful unless you're a train or a car. I can visualise m/s very easily because a metre and a second are both nice human scale units unlike a kilometre and an hour

I've never understood viewing speedrunning as competitive. To me it's always been collaborative, working together as a community to beat the game in the lowest time possible. Same with other types of records I'm very much not a competitive person so maybe this is just me
