I've been doing a lot of unfollows and such. Not doing it for negative reasons (I mean if I followed you it's because I like your vibe), but because I've been going out a lot more and healing a very messy depression and I'm trying to clean my feed and cut on social media to keep it to mostly art.

Even though it's fun, since I read and go out more I realized social media isn't great, and I dislike the use I was giving it. Especially since I was very depressed, which isn't a mind state you should use the internet in. I'd rather keep it to art and whatever interesting thing I come across

Had the biggest grin on my face last night investigating. One of the articles dedicates a little paragraph to how maids these days aren't willing to do laundry anymore. I can't quite tell if it's written in a sort of "youngsters these days" disparaging way, but if it was it would be very funny.

Over the last weeks Ive been trying to make space to investigate through something I still can't believe arrived in my hands. My partner and I somehow managed to find an original volume from a Belle époque magazine. Here's the articles I thought were the most interesting 🔽

-One about a cat rescue charity in London -One about the US election process -One about the Chamber of Commons -One about Ella Erwing, a woman with gigantism and how she built a house fit for her size -One about Tesla's RC boat (if you play RDR2 you may know this one)

-One about electricity and electric home appliances, which were a novelty at the time -One about abyssal fish -A hilarious amount of woowoo bullshit -An article warning about the danger of sun exposure, which wasn't widespread knowledge back then -An article about princesses using military uniforms

Seriamente me pregunto si hay algún manifestante de extrema derecha en este país que supere la edad legal para comprar alcohol en el súper. Ya me jodería tener una ideología que no sobrevive al primero de bachillerato.

I believe all women are natural pilots. I believe the term "a woman's intuition" refers to her God-given proclivities toward understanding such concepts as yaw, pitch, and roll. That's just how I am.

"oh it was today" inmediately followed by my CSP history from the last 2 months kinda defeating the distinctiveness of the day

I wonder what people imagine is the story behind these two I've been sketching for shits and giggles inbetween work hours

"Everyone's going through it, mrs Shirley"

Visited a historical Victorian house to sketch all the furniture and knick knacks and then dressed up like Mrs Rottenmeier

It hurts me a bit to say it, but it's very possible that I won't be taking commissions in a very, very long time, or if I'll even take them again. I apologize to the people I've said I may open in the future, but at this moment in my life it's not going to be possible.

I am juggling studying for two different things and a job, resulting in some twelve to fourteen hours a day of work without weekends off. Whatever I draw it's done very fast and by losing sleep. I barely do anything else. That said, I won't stop putting out free comics and illustrations sporadically

Been researching a bit about maid outfits in the Regency era and while I do prefer the tropish black and white victorian and edwardian ones I'm enjoying designing accurate costuming a lot more. National libraries have lots of graphic material to research and pick from, it's a real joy.

At first since the story is about memory and the assumptions we make about art it was going to be fully just the media trope of a maid with a gag to poke fun at it, but historically plausible does it well enough. Plus it's a decent change of pace.

I might have been too harsh on Kojima for writing a contrived reason to have a frankly offensively sexist character design in MGSV, cause now I'm trying to come up with a contrived plot point to make a late victorian maid outfit stick in 1816 "because it looks cooler"

Supply of middle aged gay couple sketches sort of does the trick while I finish storyboarding the next comic just in time for the Big Rip
