Zorro and Victoria

Belen Ortega having to go on Instagram to explain her choices on a provisional draft for a character design and ask people not to harass her or leave nasty comments, speaks volumes about the entitlement of some of the comics "fandom" on social media.

Lot of chatter about who should play the DCU #Batman and all I'll say is Gunn and Safran could do the best and funniest bit of casting.

Cover for Nightwing #146.

DC finally giving Donna Troy something to do outside of anything Titans related, means I'll definitely be picking it up.

This is spectacularly brilliant. No surprise because it's David Aja & he's always spectacularly brilliant, but it lands even more so because imya Nightwing guy. Deffo buying this variant. 🔥

Dan Watters would be the smart choice to takeover and then we could get someone new in for Nightwing. 🤞

BATOBER Nightwing.

I honestly do not get the fascination with the Order of St Dumas and Azrael for some. Happy for Watters that he finally gets to write his fave again, but this is a big old no for me.

Because my Twitter is mostly sport now, I very rarely see any Comics or Comic Book Movie spoilers on my TL anymore. But every once in a while, a few pop up to remind me of how selfish and "look at me" most of the so called fans really are on there. Yet not a peep on Bluesky, & on a Wednesday too.

Matt and Brennan Wagner covered Batman 54 (2018).

I always remember Joe Quesada saying that the day Marvel would have the 616 universe crossover with another universe(Ultimate in this instance) that he'd rather shut one of them down because that would mean they were officially out of ideas. This feels like that exclamation point being underlined.

Love the book, so I can't wait for this. Looks great.

Thank god that Batfleck movie did not happen. Sounds awful.

I've really enjoyed how the various Bat Family members have randomly been showing up in each other's books & the various Bad Seeds tie-ins, Damian in Nightwing, Dick & Damian in Batgirl & Steph, Duke & briefly, Tim in Gotham Central & Streets of Gotham. Loved this from Duke. *Mild spoilers*

Bad Seeds is a really fun Batman event book, to the point that I'm even enjoying the tie ins.

It's fair to say Barbara Gordon Breakout has been one of DC's few failures. I really don't understand what the point of the book is and it's done nothing to showcase how good a character Barbara Gordon is.

Think it's unrealistic to expect Wacker to change Marvel's direction and practices overnight, but that House Of Ideas panel from NYCC was not only underwhelming, but just more of the same from Yoshida's stewardship.

Heroes fighting heroes. The House of Recycled Ideas everyone. *sad trombone*

I've always thought that the Discowing suit was cool in an ironic way, but Dan Mora ACTUALLY makes it cool.

Starfire is being dubbed "Red Sonja Meets One Piece." Gladitorial. No art to show yet. #NYCC #NYCC2026

Fuck yes!!

Please be Gotham Central. Please be Gotham Central. Please be Gotham Central.

Will deffo be adding Vixen & Static to the pull list.

With Jimenez on Batman, Janin on Detective, Samnee on B&R Yr One, and now Redondo on Justice Year & Rodriguez on Shadow, there's an insane amount of A level artistic talent on Bat books.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. 🤦‍♂️

And here comes the haters in 3...2...1. 🙄

I love the Absolute universe and how all the characters have been reimagined. That being said, this is the first time that I've really paid attention to Deathstroke's design and now I can't stop laughing.

As a big Morrison fan AND a fan of James Bond, this is a no brainer pick up for me. That being said, I never in a million years could've imagined Grant writing Bond. But it'll be fun.

After they cancelled Daredevil(again), I honestly could give less of a fuck what this is & who's in it.
