8. I discovered this GEM of a commander a couple of years ago, and it has been my pet deck ever since. While he is no longer the commander (The Seriema has taken his place), he remains the secret commander, ready to be tutored out at any time.

9. While I was abroad I played in an Aetherdrift sealed league, and won the entire thing. Opened this in my initial sealed pool, and it carried me the whole way. Other standouts that I opened later include Agonasaur Rex, two Webstrike Elites and Aatchik, Emerald Radian.

6. @mailmangv.bsky.social and I went to M19 prerelease, and he convinced me to sideboard in Cancel. My opponent put a lethal Banefire onto the stack, with X less than 5 even though they had enough mana. I used Sai to sacrifice Marauder's Axe and a thopter to topdeck Cancel and survive.

5. This was my first ever prerelease. I had an insane blue-green merfolk deck going into the finals 3-0. I lost the final match because I miscounted my permanent count for Ascend since I had a Waterknot on my op's creature. That meant my Spire Winder traded with their Vampire Revenant and I lost.

2. The first rare I ever opened, and a big player in the first deck I ever made. It was a green black deck that played every lifegain card I had (not a lot). It had no lifegain synergies, I just wanted to get my life as high as possible.
