Incredible. Toei usually acts like the best Sailor Moon show didn’t exist. This is great news!

Over on Tumblr, I decided to write a little about the deeply emotional experience of seeing #sailormoon live on stage after being a fan for 30 years. www.tumblr.com/thatnerddave...

In one week, my live-action #sailormoon fan fiction sequel continues with “Act 5: Love is an Open Wound”! After a near-death experience, Makoto retreats to a cabin to gather her thoughts and reclaim her powers. Neither her allies nor her enemies can give her a break. Will Sailor Jupiter return?

I got tickets! I repeat, I GOT TICKETS! They’re VIP TICKETS!!! …holy crap, I need to breathe!

Yeah, I’m still writing my live-action #sailormoon sequel season. Act 5 is currently in revisions. Lots of big surprises in this one, including an unexpected return. What was her Codename again? 😜

Act 4 of my live-action #sailormoon fanfiction sequel has officially released. You can read “The Healing Waters” on AO3, Wattpad, and FanFiction.Net. Just search for “thatnerddave” and enjoy an exciting, original Sailor Moon story! Promo art by Michaell X.

My experiment in writing fan fiction continues on pace. I’ve just completed Act 4 of my PGSM sequel season. Looking at a release date of January 23rd. In the meantime, it’s time to start outlining “Act 5 - Love is an Open Wound”, an episode that focuses on Sailor Jupiter, Makoto Kino.

When you live in the world of nerdy fandom long enough, eventually some of your craziest dreams can come true. I’ve been a fan of Sailor Moon since the 90s and… holy crap, I think I’ll see a #sailormoon live show soon! variety.com/2025/legit/n...

Working on Act 4 of my live-action #sailormoon fan fiction season. The prose rust is falling away. Almost time to return to my original stuff.

As a writer, I sometimes feel like I should just drop everything and become Jaskier from #witcher. I’d just follow some emotionally stunted, overly violent a$$hole around and narrate his life. Gotta be a better living than what I make now.

Deborah Joy Levine doesn’t get enough credit for developing the 90s Superman show and running it during season 1. When she left, the show declined in quality immediately. She nailed Lois Lane. The Kents? Gold. Daily Planet cast? Near perfect. Despite the cheese and romance focus, it’s Superman.

Wrote until 2 am last night. Good news? I produced five very good pages. Bad news? I’m tired as f**k this morning.

Nate continues to be a real one for the indie scene.

The talented Éngel Chase has created stunning fan art to celebrate the debut of a certain Sailor Guardian in Act 3 of my “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” fan fiction project! Check it out and be sure to read “Act 3 - Death & Other Complication”, #sailormoon fans! archiveofourown.org/works/598282...

Alright, everybody, hear me out… #startrek #greenlantern

"You will be haunted," resumed the Ghost, "by three spirits." Scrooge's countenance fell, almost as low as the Ghost's had done. "Is that, by chance, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot, Jacob?" he demanded in a faultering voice. "It is." "I—I think I'd rather not," said Scrooge.

Oh my God, @ashlyburch.bsky.social is on BlueSky! Now this place is really getting good. Hella exciting!

Choices: 1. Hire people to create bespoke content to train your AI. 2. Pay artists and writers to license their content to train AI. Now they get paid and it’s their choice. 3. Shut it down. If your business model relies on stealing to make a profit, it’s a grift not a business.

It’s finished! “Act 3 - Death & Other Complications”, the newest episode of my live-action #sailormoon sequel fan fiction season, has been released! Sailor Mercury is about to go through it! Don’t miss this bold new take on a classic story! archiveofourown.org/works/598282...

For those following along with my live-action #sailormoon sequel fanfic, the rough draft for “Act 3 - Death and Other Complications” is finished. It’s an Ami-centric episode. Revisions begin pretty much immediately. I hope to have the finished episode posted by the end of the week.

Finally, a tea better than Earl Grey.

Is the #sailormoon fandom the best? Yes, it is! I spotted this in the “Sailor Moon Unlimited” Facebook Group. The artist, Ean Landry, was inspired by my “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” fan fiction project. Be sure to check out his other work!

Ladies and gentlemen, AI in action.

A sneak peak at my WIP #sailormoon fanfic, “Act 3 - Death and Other Complications”. When #sailormars, Rei Hino, catches a glimpse of her future, things get…complicated. www.tumblr.com/thatnerddave...

I’m about to reach 500 hits on my #sailormoon fan fiction story, so…either there are a bunch of people who enjoy my writing, OR…there are 5 people who keep coming back over and over again. Either way…readers!

My girl Minako never liked the police. #sailormoon

My son loves Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You”. The performance from the Billboard Awards features this dancer. No idea who he is, but that sweater has great “Zach from Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers” cosplay energy.

While I’m re-outlining my novel, I’m also still chipping away at my little #sailormoon fan fiction passion project. For a sneak peak at “Act 3-Death & Other Complications”, check out Tumblr. This is really turning into something special for Sailor Moon fans. www.tumblr.com/thatnerddave...

We all know he really wanted to yell “f*******************k!”.

Me when I try to tell somebody about the cool story I wrote, but they really couldn’t care less.
