I am fascinated by the Rogansphere. Podcasters who claim to be comedians and free speech warriors. They weigh in on trans people, why don't they interview a trans person? These free speech warriors? Cuz they can't alienate their male, conservative fan base who look up to them like father figures.

Andrew Callaghan's interview with Clavicular was incredible. Clavicular denying that covid had any impact, while proceeding to, with every word, illustrate the most extreme case of Internet induced delusion. Life's simple pleasure of eating an apple would seem a poor ROI for him.

Young men don't need a virtual daddy (Rogan, Peterson, etc) to help them process hot button and societal issues. We need to educate these folks and teach them that their own brain is the daddy-est of all.

Collateral is such a great movie. An amazing pair of performances, slick cinematography, amazing pace with moments that let the movie breathe. I saw this first when I was 13, release year, and damn does it hold up today.

I really WANT to like anime but I find the writing lacking nearly every time I try to watch one. The art and animation is so good in a lot of anime. Miyazaki brings the heat both in animation and writing.

Superman was fine. I probably am too burnt out on the trope of a super hero to have even warranted seeing the movie. But I had time and wanted to get out of the house. Superheroes ought to the way of the dodo.

The negative visceral reaction some have with horror movies is how I feel about most true crime content. There is a layer of craftsmanship behind horror films, in the script, camera work, etc. It lives in the language of cinema. True crime is just a pool of misery. Thoughts? Rebuttals?
