Sometimes I feel a way about ttrpg awards and then I remember what's more important to me, which is that Spindlewheel has altered the brain chemistries of a number of people and triumphs in its bizarre little niche

Ran the second public playtest of my in-development game "A Mother's Curse" at the amazing playstorming co-organized by @mixuppixels.bsky.social and www.paradice.wien - We had such a blast! Added this time: Play sheets. It worked just as great with the Spindlewheel Deck by @teacabbage.bsky.social!

I do not think a ttrpg needs to be replayable to be worth your time and interest

Is there a play oracle you’d recommend with - cards with text on them - somewhat accessible vocab - flexibility in use (i.e. not cards with rules text on them or too narrow a scope, so no Dialect/TQY) It’d need to be easy to pick up without prior knowledge (no tarot). Any tone or theme is fine.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing Spindlewheel, and Sasha is wonderful. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to look at both sides of each card for inspiration in terms of the communal writing of the story. Looking forward to picking this one up in the near future!

Spindlewheel was a great time, starting with the minigame Detective, which saw us creating an amazing rollercoaster of a crime drama. Also, the worldbuilding potential for those who want a creative boost in designing their next world or even next NPC makes this a great pickup for GMs of all types!
