(Trumpet noises) It’s here! It’s arrived! Our Talking Bottom 2027 calendars sent our letterbox flapping and are now on-hand as prizes for our upcoming competitions! They’ll mainly be won in the run-up to Christmas but we’ll be doing a special Halloween-based competition next

It’s not even Halloween yet so obviously time to start thinking about Christmas pressies. Let us help you unload your bulging sack this December 25th with our Bumper Bottom Bundle of two tea towels, signed copy of “Talking Bottom: A Guide to the Cult Sitcom” and two bookmarks.

Or just get a pair of tea towels. Or one. Or a book. Or a miniature (empty) bottle of Malibu! DM us and we can have them with you in a jiffy (don’t be so foul!), leaving you one less thing to worry about as you start marinading the vodka margarine with hair spray.

Remember when physical media did special box sets like this “Scratch ‘N’ Sniff collection of the first three Bottom Live shows? Now I want some fried chicken! Not from Amal’s - his Alsatian got run over last week.

34 years ago tonight, the phrase “A wazzo pair of jugs” was introduced to the world, as were the epic jugs themselves. Series 2 of Bottom kicked off with “Digger,” giving us Lily Linekar, Lady Natasha and the return of Richie and Eddie, minus one kidney but with bowls of caviar / fish poo.

Tonight we’ll be breaking out the Pernod, Ouzo, marmalade and salt and raising an Esther Rantzen cocktail in the great lady’s memory. “And on tonight’s show: an interesting mis-print which spells “p*nis!”

Brilliant bit of Young Ones trivia here - would love to see this cut scene.

Hands up who wants some fun research into The Young Ones? Brand new on Dirty Feed: the truth about Colin Baker's appearance, or rather non-appearance, on the show. www.dirtyfeed.org/2026/09/evil...

Did you get the Sundays? In celebration of Bottom gusting on to our TV screens 35 years ago on 17th September, we wrote a piece for today’s Daily Express about the world’s greatest sitcom.

“God, I love Sundays. Sunday papers, stroll in the park, church, and back home for a nice big joint of good old English beef. Strawberries and cream, a spot of tennis, and a smile in the heart of every true Englishman."

“English summertime, gets you right there doesn’t it? Have you ever seen such glorious sunshine?” “Close the curtains.” Hope you’re enjoying your Sunday fishfinger and have called the local Vicar a steaming great twat!

Talking Bottom t-shirts are availble in white or black (if you want them stained then you’ll have to soil them yourself). We’ve got various sizes - DM if you want one. Obviously for just cash, no sweets. And the only haggling we’ll do is upwards.

2/2 “I got through the paperback really quickly when we ran out of loo roll in the lavs. This version’s only useful to those who can’t read and anyone keen on that handsome bloke Lee Cornes, I s’pose. Anyway buy it now or I’ll set the dawgs on yer!” www.audiobooks.co.uk/audiobook/ta...
