Not necessarily a screenshot, but I've got some WIP on Steam capsule art that I've been working through. I created a bunch of compositions (which maybe I'll add below), but working with this one for now and getting somewhere I think I can be happy with. #ScreenshotSaturday #IndieDev #IndieGame

Wanted to experiment with bringing an outline to the party. My original concepts all used a rough ink brush look that gave it a gritty character I like. Not a straight up black outline here since I'm using some layer tricks, but I like that it mimics how I've treated lines in the pixel art.

Took a ton of video of progress on a new enemy's attack, a captain of the enemy forces. Still only about 80% complete, but it's in a nice "alpha" state for now while I look at making his buddies look better. Wanna fight him? #ScreenshotSaturday #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity2D #PixelArt

Been a while! Among numerous things, I have a WIP implementation for how the in-game player menus will look and work. Been toying with a couple different looks, and still have a lot of font and color work to dial in, but I'm optimistic. #ScreenshotSaturday #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity2D #PixelArt

Just a quick screen to illustrate how each player will have their own slice of the screen to use when in the menu (in case you were wondering why the menu was so narrow). Side note: most of the content in the shots is dummy data I give goofy names to as I test the systems 😄

Got around to playing with a shader for some standing water. Juiced up the settings to make it more visible than it needs to be and to test some settings I added for when it's used in other conditions. Vis dev is chugging along! #ScreenshotSaturday #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity2D #PixelArt

Vis Dev on one of my first level art sets is effectively complete. A few individual assets to polish later, but art pieces, lighting, and process is in a good spot to prototype the next biome more efficiently. Progress! #ScreenshotSaturday #IndieDev #IndieGame #Unity2D #PixelArt

First pass at pulling together some visual elements and art direction for the world-map/level-select screen in my game. Plenty of polish to do once I burn in the final level progression, but seems like a good place to stop and take measure (UI hidden in this shot) #ScreenshotSaturday #IndieGame

You are up to date.
