Tailwind Projects

April Updates! There’s another half dozen of YOUR books floating around my unit or the building! My patients are thrilled to have such an awesome selection of self published authors here to read! Reviews have been glowing and every morning someone trades one back in they’ve read. 😁🐦‍🔥📚💨

New entries for 🐦‍🔥Project Phoenix! Thank you to the amazing authors for the donations!! I don’t think 2026 is quite ready to give up on bedlam yet but we shall read regardless! 💚🦾📚💨

I called one of my web providers to turn off a few services I won’t need for a bit. The agent see’s the email and asks if I’m a writer.. - no, but I work with a lot of them! He tells me about his time travel pre-colonial book.. I linked him to @spsfc.bsky.social and @fanfiaddict.bsky.social 😁📚

I’ve had to take a step back from everything to prioritize. Body pain, bike damage, financial strain in every direction. I’m still loaning out books, seeing happy faces from patients as they gush about who gets next! @nicksnapeauthor.bsky.social has been a big hit! Request after request! 😂🦾📚💨

Hey all.. got news this morning that a close family member had passed suddenly overnight. I’m gonna be handling things with that for a bit - but I am still here. 😞📚💨🌄

(I suppose if you’d really like to, you could rewrite that with nice fonts and arranging into an 8x11 page or 11x8 printable paper with all that info on the whiteboard. Credit yourself! Artist/Author name and website link, cover art, etc)

I .. liberated? a white board from another part of the building. 😉. My track record of having NO art skills continues, though next week I’ll let an artsy patient redo it for me. 😂

I’ll post a few of the reviews with the comments from readers: @ajcalvin.bsky.social “I thought this would be more hard sci-fi like I read as a kid.. there’s a lot of mature themes in this that make you think. It’s a lot deeper! What did you think about…” *45 min talk about tech & ethics*

I’ll post a few of the reviews with the comments from readers: @adamcbassett.com “Yo I’ve never read a cyberpunk book before, this is a big genre?! You turned me onto something brand new, man. Tell the author I wrote his name down to look for more when I leave!”

I’ll post a few of the reviews with the comments from readers: @adrianmgibson.bsky.social : “That fungus one, I started it at 11 before lunch.. I read till lights out at 10! Frickin great, man!” *explains Book of Spores* “Oh damn, do you have that one too??”

I’ll post a few of the reviews with the comments from readers: @nicksnapeauthor.bsky.social : “That sci-fi one was awesome! The crew was hilarious. Are there more?” “I’ve got a post-apocalyptic alien one by..” “Say less, “Fallout” is my favorite game.” Wrecking Squad & The World In My Hands

I’ll post a few of the reviews with the comments from readers: @dlawsonauthor.bsky.social : “You were right, that guy who gets introduced near the end - he’s my favorite too!” *shows him the novella* “Cory, you holdin out on me?! I’m almost done! Can I get that tomorrow?!” The Envoys of War

I’ll post a few of the reviews with the comments from readers: @gjterralwrites.bsky.social : “Hey, can hold books 2 and 3 for me of that new series you brought in? My roommate has been eyeing them and he can wait.. this is good shit.” Blood Woven - Book 1

Long double at work Sunday! I’ll clock in at 3:00pm and be there till 9am. 😁 Holidays in rehab far from family are TOUGH. I’ve done it as a patient, a lot. I’m showin up with a bag of books, 4 diff Uno versions, playing cards, real coffee, and loud music. Fight the good fight, champions. 🫡💚📚🎶🙌🏻

Of course I had to send some books. The cause is good. The dude running it is gold. And anything with Phoenix basically wins me over.

Chaos has been the best word for 2026.. Project Phoenix 🐦‍🔥 continues every day, even though I haven’t posted a ton of updates! I’m bringing in fresh books from @gjterralwrites.bsky.social (and you should see the presentation?!). I’ll try and post the pics from work tonight! 💨📚🙌🏻😁

The storms going through knocked out power at home AND work for a large chunk of the week. 😖 We’re ok but lost everything in the fridge and freezer. GAH! Have you checked out @gjterralwrites.bsky.social ‘s book kickstarter?! Gorgeous!! I’m back at work and loaned more books out this morning!

Life may slow us, but we keep moving! More arrivals from the wonderfully talented @ajcalvin.bsky.social !! I really enjoyed Wraith and the Revolution and she was kind enough to send some books for Project Phoenix! 🐦‍🔥 💚 Do I spot @gjterralwrites.bsky.social in there too?! 😁

The family situation will require sudden plan changes. If you’re in contact with me, please remain so! I’ll respond when able! Hug your loved ones this week. 💚🫂

Hey, if you didn’t buy this (I did), you still can! The FFA community is one of the best on the Internet and I’m happy to work with all of them! 🙌🏻💚 the-book-of-spores-a-fungal-sff-anthology.pledgebox.com/preorder

More coming for Feb’s 🐦‍🔥 Project Phoenix additions, but my stack at home was full!! Thank you so much to all who sent in books! @mark-engels.com @dlawsonauthor.bsky.social @alexarch.bsky.social @nicksnapeauthor.bsky.social The patients are so grateful and I was asked to send their thanks! 💚📚💨

Eyyyy!! Adam is awesome and I was coming to tag him that I just loaned out the print copy of another of his books for Project Phoenix! You best believe I’ll be adding this one to it.. you should buy a copy too, and one for someone you think would like it. 😁📚💨

Ooooo we got a shelf for books coming for Project Phoenix! 🐦‍🔥 Thank you so much to the authors who wanted to donate a copy! 💚 You make this a delight! I’m adding others to the buy list for later in the month! January was a ridiculous month.. but resilience is never a dump stat. 🦾🦿⚙️🙌🏻

Feel free to ask me if you don’t know any awesome authors. I collect them like seashells. You know, the husk of something that used to be full of life until the world made it write a story or be an alarming evening news report. Good books, though! 😁📚💨

This is one of the February additions to Project Phoenix! Check out Mark's books! :D

What reading sessions are complete without a lil furry critter to sit on your lap?! Took this handsome 1yr old pup to the groomers last week. 😁💚📚

The latest SPACE ACADEMY book, SPACE ACADEMY GRADUATES is now out, ending the six book series. The world's worst crew return to Space Academy to see how they can screw up their alma mater. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B... #books #bookreleases #humor #scifi #indiebooks

Thank you to those who’ve reached out to send books in for Project Phoenix! 🐦‍🔥. I’ve got a list started for my next round of buying also! I do need some indie author names for: Cozy Mystery Romance (most any subgenres) Police/Legal Thrillers Any ideas for those categories - jot them here!

This is the first handwritten review from one of the Project Phoenix folks! I help patients from all backgrounds and education levels, but this guy LOVED the idea of ARC reviews and wanted to write his first draft! Shared with permission, he’s off to his next journey with books in hand!

I have been wildly busy the last month but I have many awesome updates to share and the next round of book buying starts ending this month! I’m especially looking for - Sci-fi Fantasy Cozy mysteries Romance (anything not extremely explicit) Court room dramas Until then, here’s a Good Boy! 😁🙌🏻💚📚💨

January Updates! Getting back into current things now that we’re through the holidays! Web dev! - I’ll be in touch! Artists! - If we’ve agreed on a $ amount, aiming for the end of the month. Big expenses are slain for Jan. 😉 Authors! - Separate post. 😁

I start every year with 100, though it’s often higher. A good friend likes a friendly competition so I gave her a week headstart. 😉

Post holiday chaos mayyyy be subsiding?! That would be amazing, then I can go back to book things. 😁📚💨

It's nice working a job where I get to read most of the night.. anyone else happy with their reading this year?

🚨 ALERT! 🚨 Ooo a Bounty has crossed the gaze of Tailwind and gamers in general! Here’s my problem - detectivehawkgames.com/products/eld.... It’s a rare expansion for Elder Sign, held up by the tariffs on a real reprint. Find me a trustworthy link, and Tailwjnd will show up with prizes! 💨🏆🥇🙌🏻🎖️

Happy New Years all! Here’s a dog! The pup sulked REAL hard that I wouldn’t share with him. Then I rubbed his belly and he went comatose. 😂 Not even a twitch. My lvl 1 Sleep spell being upcast at 3rd is formidable.

This spoiled lil emotional support pup has figured out he can trust me. And I give the best scritches in 3 counties. 😉😂

As I was asked - YES! Tailwind takes direct donations from interested authors. If you’d like to send me your books, I will put them to good use. I’ve held off on SAYING this because my intent is to 💰 PAY YOU 💰 If you insist on reckless and good hearted.. I guess I can’t throw stones. DM me 😉

I’ll give you a sneak preview - FOUR of the seven first books have been finished! Incredibly positive reception from ALL. The men are discussing the books amongst themselves AND me. Each finished book was enjoyed! One of the men, learned what an ARC reviewer is.. and wrote a first draft. 🎉😁📚

I know it’s been quiet, but WOW folks, things are advancing! Many more details next week when I get caught up! The authors involved in Project Phoenix, you made a real difference this holiday season. Thank you. 💚
