Is AI-assisted programming making us lazy? I’ve shared my thoughts on how tools like GitHub Copilot are changing our discipline and further fragmenting our already shattered focus. Read about my love-hate relationship with AI in coding.

medium.comA Love-Hate Relationship with AI-Assisted Programming: Reflection on GitHub CopilotIn the world of software development, a few tools have had such a transformative – and perhaps destructive – effect as AI-assisted…

I asked AI to answer a general field question I specialise in, and it failed to answer sufficiently. But I had to know that to know that, right? Does it make me an expert though? I collected my thoughts about above and my related frustrations in this bite size article

medium.comWhat does make you an expert nowadays?I had to answer a few questions recently, in a topic I specialise in. Because I know how valid and important getting the second opinion is, not having anyone else next to me to ask, I asked AI to…

I think it does show you know your field… so sort of does? I got this thought after asking AI to answer a general field question in which I specialise in, and it just failed to get into the meat of the problem. And I guess you need to know that, to judge it, right?!

The number of coding nuggets I’ve seen this week is amazing! Keep them coming! I’ve learn so much from Twitter, and hoping Bluesky will fill the gap!

I’m loving this syntax! It looks like a merge conflict someone committed accidentally or someone going hardcode on bit shifting, but its not, its me using some crazy generics magic! I think this says that I’m quite good at using them 😄

For someone didn’t use #tiktok, I’m overwhelmed by the posts about the sense of community that people have cultivated on the platform. My understanding was that it was simply a platform for sharing funny videos and endless scrolling through them! #tiktokban

I have a bit of a pickle, and I think I need a mechanism similar to how react useEffect dependent works. I need to know what state value need to change for me to update my form. Can someone point me and explain how does the dependency array works internally? cc: @danabra.mov?

Hmm I think I see it! So react doesn’t really know „what” changes or what piece of state is a dependency, it just compares if it changed? So this is where if I were to change order of deps, effect would rerender, even if all values are still the same?

I am so amazed and grateful for this platform! As we all know what degregated, I felt sick when scrolling, as it was constant „filter mode”. I am wowed how liberating it can be! I feel so positive and inspired! Thank you! ☺️
