I'll probably post about Video Games and TCGs I'm playing (Atm Digimon TCG)

I ended up enjoying Sorry Were Closed more than I expected. Game isn't as spooky as some may want it but the level design is solid and the art design is unique. Also enjoyed the combat for the most part (don't get swarmed) and neat to see theres branching narrative paths available

Played Call of Cthulu (2018) on PC was a nice detective game with occasional spook and atmosphere. Multiple endings. It's not ground breaking but definitely fits the months theme

Sadly giving up on The Texttorcist: the Story of Ray Bibbia. Be it keyboard or controller I can't get past the wall of boss 7 D: think I need to drop the game and enjoy something else while October still around. Still fun for the $2 I spent but geez it got real tough.

Flowchart the game!. Seriously though, Slay the Princess was a nice twist on the visual novel style game with varying degrees of whimsy and unsettling. Could argue it's on the "campy" side at times but hey even your typical horror film has camp no?

Really enjoyed Crow Country. Solid mix of old and new with the control scheme and visuals. The length of the game was great given I kept wanting to see what happened next and the story was interesting given it's premise. Solid title

As October is here figured I'd start some Halloween Gaming and started slow with Oxenfree 2. Not that spooky but liked the art direction and design. Forgot how slow the characters walked/run though

Beat story mode of Splatoon Raiders. Really liked the game. There's still plenty of post game stuff to still do and love the gadget system and tank system to the point I want to experiment and play more and see enemies Salmanoids perish as number go up in ALL the ink!

Beat Born of Bread. A turn based RPG reminiscing of Paper Mario. It sadly isn't as polished as I'd like but it's made by French Canadians and loved the art style and aside from some glitches it was serviceable !

Finally beat Kirby Tilt N Tumble after renting it way back when. This image got a laugh out of me but also describes my experience playing it in modern times. Can't tell if just due to skill issues size of a GBC vs switch2 or how modern gyro tech has evolved but game had less control than I remember

Wild to see all the 3rd parties bring their games to Switch 2 alongside the 1st parties. However, not happy that micro SD Express cards are still incredibly pricy and likely a necessity when the majority of the games going to be digital or Game Key Card :/

Beat Plucky Squire. Liked the art style and it had some neat concept but it felt like it missed something that kept it from being great instead of good. Perhaps maybe too sloggish at the beginning? Overall solid 3/5 to me.

Ugh, Unbeatable feels too mixed for me. The music was great, artstyle is solid, the music-based gameplay is fun too but weird pacing with the story, weird platforming, and maybe TOO much visual flair during story--music gameplay made getting to the payoffs so uneven. Love the arcade mode though.

Beat Kirby Dream Land 2 and even got the rainbow drops. Some of these were surprisingly tricky to grab in terms of sequencing needed. Also would to consider the sequel came to Gameboy and not like NES or SNES

Played the Gunk on Steam Deck and had a fun time. Will say game had mild stutters when too much Gunk on the screen. Overall reminded me of like Ratchet & Clank meets Luigi's Mansion vacuum with more emphasis on platforming and mild puzzle solving.

Figured while I had NSO to try out some other games. Did some gems I never tried like Mappy-Land, Ninja JamJamMaru & Joy Mech Fight (pictured below) Wish Nintendo Switch Online put effort into translating Joy Mech Fight. Would've made knowing controls easier.

So the game definitely felt like it was meant to ocme out in the early 2000s. There were two fetch like quests required to progress story and the final boss felt kinda inconsequential the plot really. I am quite curious at the exact tale of how this game got developed as theres prob a story there.

Just finished the story of Expedition 33. I can fully see why it won GOTY. This game has some of the most fun turn based combat with creativity to break things. A fantastic story, a wonderful OST, and a world that inspired wonder. From the opening to the ending I stayed invested. Just wow.

Beat Rabi-Ribi, or at least the normal ending. Its a Metroidvania meets bullet hell type game. Definitely challenging if not prepared but can see why it got huge positive ratings on steam. Don't think I have it in me for true ending route tho

Beat Prodigal! Was a neat Zelda-like with a GBC Sprite and Colour Palette and a little bit of life-sim elements. Apparently, there's some post game content that was added through patches so may give it a whirl assuming the puzzles aren't brutal

No gif images found but beat "Minishoot Adventures" which felt like schmup meets zelda which was pretty fun all things considered. And then beat "Say No! More" which admittedly had a silly premise and fun art style but too simplistic controls and gameplay.

I beat Nights: Into Dreams PC Port. I liked the artstyle and music but the gameplay didn't click with me. More of a time attack like game rather than a traditional platformer which sucks when you redo the entire level if fail a boss thats somewhat cryptic. That 7th level especially was tricky.

And finally after plugging back in the Wii U. Finally beat Metroid Prime 3. Was fun and (mostly) enjoyed the motion controls. Was maybe a 1-2 year gap since I played the first 2 as part of the Trilogy. Now I can (eventually) play Metroid Prime 4!

And After getting the Joke ending and Ending 3 of Silent Hill F I think i'll shelve the other 2 endings for next year. I think I'm giving the game a 3.5/5. I like the story and some of the set pieces but the combat and re-treading the Dark Shrine world feels a bit cumbersome for me
